  1. ..after I opened the Linberg kit and saw those wheels and thought they didn't look right. Got the wheels from the Little Red Wagon and the 68 Charger out and those look a lot better. I'll have to check out the other kits that have been mentioned too. Again you fellas have came through!...thanks much everyone!
  2. ...thanks again guys, I didn't know these kits had steel wheels in them. Here's some pics of the ones that came in the Linberg 330 kit, did Chrysler ever make any wheels that look like this?
  3. ....thanks guys, I have both of those kits, their still sealed so I'll have to bust them open!.....
  4. As some of you may know I've been trying to add a variety of wheels to my product line. Mostly older styles and some hard to find ones. Been looking to add some Mopar steel wheels but I'm finding it hard to locate good examples. I recently obtained a 64' Dodge 330 by Linberg just for the wheels, but these wheels look nothing like the one I've found in my research. My question is what kits have good representation of Mopar steel wheels? As always any help would be greatly appreciated............thanks
  5. .....we'll keep praying for Amber's continued success!
  6. Does anyone happen to recall what make/kit these Firestone Darlington soft rubber tire were from? I'm thinking MPC, maybe a Chevy kit, but I'm only guessing at this point.....
  7. ..thanks everyone for taking the time to post, as always I appreciate you sharing the information with me. I'm learning a lot and it also helps to know as much about the products I plan to sell too. Again, many thanks.....Danny
  8. I have these two Hurst wheels, I believe their referred to as the "dazzlers"?. The first wheel has a center cap with a "raised" letter "H", although I could not find this style cap when I researched it. The second wheel has an "embossed" letter "H" with the word "HURST" inside it. What struck me about the second wheel is the bevel on the back side. Out of all the wheels I have only two are like this. Does anyone know who made these and what kit they might be from? Thanks in advance guys!........
  9. I would say it works on certain paints and possibly how long it's been on. I soaked a couple of rim that had paint on them in purple power for two days and it didn't work. Those rim were painted 30+ years ago.
  10. ...fantastic guys...the pic of the Mag Star looks convincing to me, I'm going with that. You fellas came through again! Can't tell ya how much I appreciate the help, thank you!
  11. ..I researched wheel caps also to see if that may have been an after market wheel, no luck there either. Tried with magnifying glass to read the writing on the cap but it's just too small. I'll keep looking, might get lucky and find it somewhere......thanks again fellas....
  12. ...thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. Do you guys know if these were ever offered on the real cars? I must have looked at 100's of pics and couldn't find any........
  13. .....I hate to keep bugging you guys, but my research had identified all but these two wheels. It looked like the first wheel my be from an early model Buick or Pontiac but I don't think it is. The spokes don't go all the way to the outer edge of the rim, they stop at a second inner ring. ....the second wheel may be Mopar, but I can't find any that looks exactly like it. The spokes appear to be straight and not wedge shaped like most are. There are lines in the cap that intersect in the center but don't go completely across to the opposite side. There's writing on the cap but way to small to read. ...as always any help would be greatly appreciated!...thnaks
  14. ...thanks Bill, appricate the info!
  15. Ok guys, I should know the answer to this but have to admit I'm not sure. While most wheels have rim beads, I have some that don't. Do the wheels without the bead need trim/beauty rings or maybe a certain kind of tire? I really enjoy casting and would like to offer a few vintage style wheels that I have, but I need to learn more about them. As always I appreciate any help or knowledge you folks would like to pass along......thanks again...
  16. ...here's a couple of tires that soaked in Purple Power for two days. It wasn't my intention to leave them in that long, I just forgot about em. Now these are the original kit tires form the late 60's, so I'm not sure how the newer ones would fair that long in the cleaner, or any amount of time for that matter. The red lines turned out great, but I did notice that there was some paint/decal missing form the white walls. Here's the thing, because the tires were so dirty I'm not sure if it was already missing or if they were cracked and the cleaner loosened them up. Also not sure what the white stuff is but most of it came off in the cleaner, although some tires did have to be scrubed to remove it. As far as the white stuff coming back, I would think once cleaned it would be ok.
  17. ...yes they do Greg, it's called Triple Action Wheel Cleaner. Don't know much about it and have never used it but you can check it out, plus other stuff they have at armorall.com.
  18. ..thanks guys, can't tell ya's how much I appreciate all the info! Mark you have to be real close on the year, I know I've had these wheels since the late 60's. .....Casey, these measure 0.6175" behind the bead. I believe that's 15" in 1/24 and slightly larger in 1/25... ....Eric, I make a variety of detail parts. I'm adding some wheels to the line up and some other parts in the near future. Take a moment to check them out, my web link is below my signature
  19. Fellas' I have to admit I'm not real knowledgeable when it comes to all the different wheels out there. I'm in the process of casting a few wheels to add to my product line and came across this one.......is this an American Eagle and does the AAE on the center cap stand for American Eagle Alloy? As always any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.....
  20. I ended up doing what Glenn suggested and soaked a couple of bad ones in Purple Power overnight. It worked as advertised. All the dust and dirt was gone and the one tire that had glue and paint on it cleaned up great. I just rinsed the tires under warm tap water and with a tooth brush easily removed the old glue and paint. I'm sure there are other products that would work as well but I'm completely sold on Purple Power....
  21. Thanks Glenn, I'll give that a try.......
  22. I came across a box of old tires and decided to clean them up. Used soapy water and a tooth brush but it really didn't do much. Before I go and experiment with all kinds of cleaners, thought I'd ask to see if there was any sure fired method you guys use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks.....
  23. ...I'll put it in my original post....
  24. ...thanks ra7c7er, I'll try it again!

...thanks fellas!..... ..Felix, the window glass is a piece of .015 clear sheet styrene. The mullions were made from .030 x .040 strip styrene. I made a template, then carefully glued the individual pieces together.....
