  1. Thor...is that BMF on the metal seat trim???? Looks amazing!!!!
  2. Fantastic work on those fenders!! I really like the screen windshield work too. Very original. BTW, what tires and wheels are those? I might be wrong, but the seem a bit larger than the Black Widow kit wheels.
  3. 1 Bad MC 2NV....Nice model!!!!!
  4. I know this is a few months old...but...Actually, the "beep beep" horn should be where the first canister is.
  5. Yes, Bruce...I contacted Rick about a decal through Email, but I did not hear back from him. He might be busy, and his site does have all of its products on it, but, I figured I would ask anyway. I understand you have to print the ones that sell. This car I bought through Ebay, and it just happened to be the MCW "Nascar" kit. I went ahead and bought another 62 right from MCW directly, just to get the decals. Now I have a spare Galaxie resin kit, that I might sell, or just keep, and possibly buy the Jerry Alderman Ford and just buy the 62 decal from you guys. This car is finished now, in the "under glass" board. Thanks for the reply, Bruce.
  6. Fantastic builds, Paul. Just love the old drag cars. You built em just right!!
  7. Super Clean Build!!!!! Nice GTO.
  8. This engine done with it, and just rubbed with a Q Tip.
  9. For some reason, I am not getting Emails for all my watched topics. Some times I will get one, but, if I do not look through the forum, I would never know about all of them. Any one having this same problem? Also, some of my latest post, and replies are gone too.
  10. Welcome Aboard....Cool HEMI!!!!
  11. My order I had with Al, was like almost two months...IIRC. But, IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
  12. I used the AMT chassis, and firewall. After the interior tub assembly was all together, it required some sanding where the firewall, and the rear part of the front wheel tubs meet. The body casting is a little thick, so it took a lot of trial fitting as the door panels, and dash area were real tight. The windows had to be cut perfectly, or they interfered with the final assembly. There was some notching of the front, and rear of the chassis so the bumpers would fit. The rear axle was narrowed on both sides, as much as it could be to fit the slicks, and larger rims. It really was not too difficult at all, though.
  13. Yes...No "BAM SAM"!!! or "BBARC" on the right rear tail panel either. ( I don't really know what those letters mean?) I was a bit disappointed, but its OK. I really enjoyed this build.
  14. Resin MCW, kit and decals. Amt 60 Starliner chassis and engine.
  15. Got the BMF finished yesterday. Assembled the rest of it this afternoon. Another 62 with the decals came in from MCW, and when I get them applied, I'll post a few pics "Under Glass". I bought another 62 car from MCW, to get the decals, and I might sell the extra car, or maybe just add it to the stash. This was a fun build, as it is my first resin build. Can't wait to get it totally finished tomorrow.
  16. Beautiful build...Drew!!! I am still getting (adding) some tools to my hobby, to do more involved things. Like I stated, the body was painted, and I did not want to mess it up, so I just left it alone. Thanks Guys!!!
  17. This was a quick build. The body was painted. Besides minor sanding, and flash cleanup, my body work skills are not the best.
  18. Got the engine, interior, and the rest of the chassis done. I am waiting for some PE header flanges from Detail Master, to put on the headers. I also was to add some Detailer wash to the underside floor pan. Maybe I will start to BMF tomorrow. Just waiting for the decals now.
  19. Just looking through a lot of big car kits, and through searches. I like the Impalas, and Galaxies in particular.
  20. Very Nice Build!!!BMF looks great!! I have an AMT 65 Chevelle wagon in my stash, but I am not really excited about building it yet. I hate the old tooling, when the suspensions are all cast as one. You have given me an idea on a 66 now, with a nicer detailed suspension. Did your kit come with a big block, or did you add it to it???
  21. This is my first time working with a resin kit. I have worked with a resin chassis before, but not the car. I pretty much got the suspension done so I can mock it up to see if the car is level, and all four tires are on the ground. The front will set a bit lower, after I trim the front frame so it fits behind the bumper better. I am using the 60 Starliner chassis, suspension, and engine, but I am using the resin interior, except for the dash. The Starliner dash looks more like the 62 dash, as compared to the resin one that came with the kit. Almost everything is painted, except for the body. The interior is painted with Testors Icy Blue lacquer. So far, except for the trial fitting of parts more than styrene, resin is not too bad to work with. I might buy another one...probably a 63 Catalina, maybe. As for the decals, another member on this site might be able to make a set. Here are a few pics of the car, now in primer. Got a lot of sanding to do as of yet, and I still don't like the way the hood fits, as the corners of the hood stick up. I will have to play around with it some more. Its a lot better than it was though.
  22. Welcome Tim....I am from Wilkes Barre here!!! This is a great site for model car builders.
  23. Well...All I can say, is this takes your breath away. Kinda hard to tell if its a model, or the real thing. I especially like the "JAG" on the butterflies...nice touch!!!
  24. Just finished this Ford. The front and rear grills, interior tub, and roll bar, are from the Modified Stocker kit. The wheels and tires are from Bandit Resin. Decals are from Yesterdays.
