I've been off work with a back injury. So I thought I would get some pics up. I finished this several weeks ago, but was building some others and didn't get time to post pics. I've several more builds Ill post. I'm not the best photographer, so in the future I plan on buying some large poster board, and a few desk lamps, to see if that helps.

Thanks for the help. I think I might just try a little paint and dull coat. -

The last hobby/train shop in my area is closed. I'm just grateful my local hardware store, where I go now carries kits, all Tamiya paints, X-Acto, etc. He has no wire this size. -
Thank you for the replies. I just ordered up some white and red Detailer Wash. I have seen red on some white cars as well.

Welcome. I don't see anything wrong with you 'talent". Very nice building you do.

ill drink to that. Pretty good??? that is a superb job, on one of the worst kits made. You really picked a great color. And to Pro Street a kit that doesn't want to go together stock.

The boot wire that MAD includes is black. I've searched high and low at local electronic outlets, hardware stores etc. Trying to find some tan and gray solid core wire in that gauge, to use for MSD and Accel plug wires. I was told I would probably not find any that size. Any suggestions?? Even tried to use some old land line phone wire.

Thanks. I've even seen red on white cars with red interiors.

On the Ford Thunderbolt, would anyone know what the color would be on the inside of the side moldings. I have seen some different colors in my searches, like black, on a white car, but for some reason on a Wimbeldon white car, I cant tell if its black or brown.

The First 1965 Mustang 427 SOHC - Dick Brannan
Brutalform replied to johnwitzke's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Just out of curiosity, I wonder how much weight was either added, or removed from the sub frame with this type of modification, to fit the larger engine? This could very well be THE first tubular sub frame that replaced the OEM one. Probably the additional weight of the engine was traded off for the savings on the tubular replacement. -
Thank you.

That's a nice casting of the Gibson engine. They are getting harder to find since he passed away. I've used this engine from the Tommy Grove Mustang and 68 Shelby GT500. The Shelby engine isn't the greatest though. I gotta keep my eyes open for a Gibson resin. -

This is going to be fun build, I'm sure. Looking at your other posts with the Ford drag cars, gave me some ideas to build myself. I have about 70 or so kits in my stash, and it seems I always get into that "what should I build next" mode. I hate when I'm undecided for a good week. I'm following your 62 Galaxie, T bolt & 63 Galaxie lightweight builds too. Nothing I like more than the old super stockers. Thanks for helping me narrow it down to three cars. -
Thanks Pat. I found out it is a new tool. The grill is more correct looking than previous kits.

Is this that maroon colored car, that was the test bed for the Stangs??? -
Very Nice Details. You did a great job on the old kit!!!
-
You nailed it. Fantastic build here.
-
that's great. I'm only going by what I've read on this kit. From what I've read is that it doesn't fit right and the rear lights are terrible. You did a fantastic job on yours though.

It doesn't get any better than this. simply blown away by your builds......... -
Nice to see an old Super Stocker. I'm in this mode myself. Seeing your fantastic build makes me want to build my three 62 Bel Airs. Can some one correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this kit re tooled over the other older AMT Bel Air kits?
