  3. Clean build and very nice photos.
  4. Nice job on the decals esp. the side stripes with the snake coming out of them.
  5. Another great Roth Piece. The others are excellent as well.
  6. You did fine job with this. Big Daddy would be proud.
  7. Came out awesome! Glad you kept the yellow mirrors. Really like the low side shot. Great photography.
  8. Wow, surprised this one was still going. The wheels are from the Revell '32 Ford Roadster (this is what I'm playing with now). I had to use two kits since only the rears fit the Revell Rat Rod tires (sorta). Jantrix it was a pleasure to meet you as well. Thanks again for all the nice comments. Heading back to the bench.

  14. Wow, glad y'all like it and thanks for the nice comments. Here's some answers to the questions asked: The headlights are from the Bugatti kit. They have real nice lenses that almost look "modern" today. The trunk does not open. The real car didn't have one, but I thought I might need to scribe one to give the illusion something could be back there. If if did open, all it would have is a battery and a gas fill. Not much room for anything else. It does have a complete cooling system. The radiator is mounted under the supercharger. A cable driven pump (similar to the fuel pumps that are used on a Nextel Cup car) circulates the would be coolant from the rear freeze plugs. A scoop under the car gets the air while the car would be in motion, an electric fan helps it out too. The dash is cut down form an AMT '27 Lincoln. The gauges are printed out on photo paper from artwork I created. Hose clamps are simply 1/64" chrome tape (where can I get some more?). I added some cut wire to simulate the clamp adjusters on the top ones. The bottom ones are the molded in clamps with the tape added. Amazing what kind of detail lies under thick chrome plating... Here are a few more pix of it and a few in progress. Didn't take much in progress because most everything shows on the finished model.
  15. Don't know how I feel about the yellow mirrors either. Some yellow accents on the interior could make it happen though...
  16. Nice buildup. Really diggin' the colors.
  17. Just got this off my workbench. Had a blast building it. Here's some details, but I hope the pix speak for themselves. Body/Frame/Seat from the old Monogram kit. Cowl sectioned 3", lengthened 5". Frame Z'd 4" in front 6" in the back. Engine from AMT parts pack. Suspension parts from Revell '32 Ford & Tweety Pie. Scratchbuilt Hallock style windshield and underslung radiator below supercharger. Paint is Tamiya Clear Red over Testors "Diamond Dust" and lots of Alclad. Whatcha think?
  18. Mighty tasty! Love it!
  19. I love that. The builder was Paul Jones from Cape Coral, FL. He drove the one above for over 100k miles before building a "better" one - the Star Streak II (below) as Rob posted. This one is in the RV museum in Indiana.
  20. Definitely count me in. My work schedule doesn't really fluctuate, good ole 8-5pm M-F.

  22. I'm in Bonita Springs, so I'm game.
