  1. Nice Build! Love the Gassers! Later, Lee
  2. Thanks Chris, I ordered one from Comp Resins already. Any chance you have one of those printed blower belts? I'll gladly reimburse you. I know the rubber band in the kit will play hell even with CA glue. GoatGuy, thanks for the encouragement. Later, Lee
  3. First pic is my "workbench". Second pic is damaged Blower Hat. Third pic is progress today. Later, Lee
  4. Here is the Project.
  5. Good afternoon all, I am getting back into the hobby after reading Chris Sobak's awesome thread on his Army Vega. It has been probably 30 years since I completed a kit. I am in no way at his skill level, but I am going to relearn the basics and go from there. My intention is to make this an Out of the Box, clean as possible build, but I already have a blower hat on order due to damage to the kit piece during the packaging process. With that, I may look at stainless lines and A/N fittings. Also, my work schedule will make bench time a premium. As soon as I can figure out how to post pics, I will have an update. Later, Lee
  6. Bump....any updates on this? I have the Protar 312T and 312T2 that I am going to start soon as a reintro to modeling. Later, Lee
  7. Wow....Chris.....dude! My hat is off to you sir. I have been following this for awhile and just finished going through all 224 pages. This build has reignited my desire to set up my bench again, it has been TOO MANY YEARS since I have built. Thank you for that. I will admit, I want to see this finished, but as a human, with feelings, don't hurt yourself. This will finish when it finishes, that's just the way it is. I will keep this as a favorite for reference. As many, many, many others have said here....AWESOME! Later, Lee
  8. Great build! I have this movie in DVD, but I also remember seeing it in the theater! I was fortunate enough to be able to get Big Jim's autograph at the Houston NHRA event a couple of years ago. I took a book with numerous FC photos and a crew member took me into the trailer where he was inspecting plugs, the autograph even a small oil smudge. I also got Bob Tasca and Don Schumacher to sign also. Later, Lee
  9. As does looking at Chris's 1/16 Prudhomme Vega FC build.....both off the hook! Later, Lee
  10. Wow, definitely subscribed as I have this kit in my stash. Looking to go Pro Touring style with suicide doors and tilting hood. Now just need to get my skills up to the dream! Later, Lee
  11. Chris, Wow, I just found this thread and really have only read the first ten pages! Great work and I will try and get up to speed! Later, Lee
  12. Good afternoon all, I am working on the JJ Red Monza. I have ordered the Crower 8 port injector and hat from Comp Resins, but I am having trouble finding picture references for the fuel block on the front of the injectors, and the throttle linkage on the back. Also, how the throttle cable routed the pedal. Can anyone assist in finding the proper setup for this? Thanks, Lee
  13. Count me in here too. I love the 1/16 scale and would dearly love to see Revell bring out some FC's and dragsters as well! Later, Lee
