  1. This is quite the project! Your work on the details is outstanding!!!!
  2. Nice start!!!
  3. The trick is to add the same length to each side. Measure carefully....
  4. I've had this idea for about 5 years and finally got ahold of enough parts to try this! Since practically every stretch limo I've seen in person or pictures was based on a 4 door car I felt the need to convert it to 4 door first. About 3 years ago I discovered this picture on the internet. It's a Photoshop job. This car doesn't actually exist from what I found. I started the 4 door conversion by cutting the doors loose from 2 of the bodies. I left the rear doors the 2 door length for easier access since a few limos have longer rear doors. The chassis is stretched 180 mm which is 180" in 1/1.
  5. Quite the load of tough looking mods!!!
  6. This looks more like the '67-'69 and new Camaro than the styling cues Bruce is using. It's always cool to see variations on a theme!
  7. Looking GREAT, Bruce! It's available in resin from Jimmy Flintstone.
  8. GREAT looking truck! Nice job on that 8 track!
  9. LOTS of modifying and scratchbuilding! I LOVE IT!!!
  10. EXCELLENT build!!!
  11. Why not use steel rod or music wire for the actual axle? Have every size tube and rod and shim progressively.
  12. Nice start on a really cool concept!
  13. To my eyes the AMT van kits have the correct body and chassis length for the one you have pictured.
  14. Good luck and THANK YOU!!!!!
  15. The A Team van kit doesn't have the scored lines or window frames. The scored lines for opening the entire roof for a roof extension is still there. The hood is molded in and the dash isn't correct for '83. The ridges on the outside of the roof are reasonably accurate. The dashes got changed thru the years on these vans too. I saw a '74 close to where I was working and the dash in that one is different from the AMT kits. The dash was not changed. The dash in the Revell '70's custom van kits won't help either though it looks like the '74 I saw today. Not sure what year but in late '70's the steering column was changed to a less bus style angle. I don't know what you have for computer access or internet connection but I often look on Ebay Motors for the make, model, and year vehicle I want to model. Finding a real one you can photo is even better but there don't seem to be many of them around....
  16. The Fire/Rescue van body has scored sides and frames for the windows to be glued in seperately. It can be built this way or solid side. The old kits don't contain the correct grille and bumpers but all are based on the same molds with some revisions. The later versions have the ridges in the roof and some older issues had a molded in hood and not the opening type. Need to dig thru my stash to see what's what....
