I think his problem was that he used Alclad smoke and ten used Tamiya clear over it. I would had used Tamiya smoke in the acrylic line than used a urethane clear in light coats. I have never had problems with urethane clear and decals. I did a Mercedes DTM D2 that the entire car has decals all over and used Dupont 7600 clear urethane with no problems. There are cheaper urethane clears in the market some that are even prethinned. The dupont on was very expensive about 76.00 for a quart. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress. Don't forget Replicas N Miniatures, HRM, JimmyFlinstone. I believe Randy's time has been consumed by his hobbyshop the can take away all your time being. The last time I purchased from him was in his last appearence to the NNL East. Wish his Ferrari 333 sp was still available. With the plastic model companies either vanishing or just not producing. Not the best but I think that Ross Gibson makes a 502 and I say not the best because of the casting method. For a 572 appearence you can just build a big block chevy eng from any of the kits i would prefer a 1/24 eng and use Bob Dudek's valve covers. This is scrappy j car in Atlanta NNL with the 572 valve covers. Ariel

Hello Guys If you see in Scale Productions website they are coming out with a 997 with the Flying Lizard paint scheme. But we will have to sit and wait they are not the fastest to put something on the market.

POLISH THE PRIMER SO THAT THE PIECE IS REALLY SMOOTH DEPENDING THE PRODUCT THAT YOU ARE USING IT COULD PICK-UP THE ROUGHNESS OF THE PRIMER.

Hello Kevin The Formula that Andy gave you is correct but doen't work well for decals.i had a guy do some decals for me . He made the decals for the petit lemans vette that ran after sept 11,2001 that he made in 1/43. I asked him to enlarge them to 1/24 it didn't come out that good he had to ree draw some of the decals so that they would look to scale. He is a graphic artist by trade. In the same case I gave him some decals in 1/24 to scale down some thingds looked ok but others had to be re-drawn to look to scale. Just my 2 cents hope it helps. Ariel

Once you are bitten with the slotcar bug it is hard to let it go. I haven't raced since 99 competitively. Did a 1/32 race in Sept. Alot of fun.

If you have anymore let me know. or if you cast some more you could try and make it to the NNL East in April talk to Tom Geiger he is in this forum. They are in a new place and the vending area is twice as big so he maybe looking for vendors . You will not be disappointed if you do. Also a Thing would be nice like others have said. Ariel
