  1. Without being totally offensive..WHAAAAAAT? Sir that's two entirely different Series of BMWs...a 7 Series is over a half foot longer and 3" wider than a 6 Series. Sure all E3x BMWs have a family resemblance, but they're most certainly not a "close enough" to rebox the 635 and call it a 733 and not have the world fall on them. Which it already will when people realize they're getting that craptastic Fujimi kit in that E30 M3 box.
  2. Also something that may not necessarily pop out reading it as the text list...there's the 1973 Mustang everyone around here was just demanding to see. Along with an '85 GMC Jimmy - which would already the next variant on the new Blazer.
  3. That cabinet is all R/C cars, I wouldn't automatically assume it would extend to models. If it does I suspect they re-pop the 635CSi again. The GT3 car would be nice, but NuNu has that project finished and in perpetual release delay for half a year now. I'd presume the Jeep J-10 w/Camper is a repop of the Honcho "Dude" kit
  4. Got my "GTAm" today along with the "Mugen" Civic. Next up -
  5. There is no "old stock" version. The Aoshima (and reboxed as AMT) only came as the three movie cars. The Polar Lights Snap Kits are the same way. This new Aoshima kit (based on the newly tooled movie cars) is the first and only time a stock DeLorean has been kitted. All American offered a stock resin one way back in the day, but it's pretty oddly proportioned compared to the plastic kit.
  6. Well the only reason there's a factory stock version of a DMC-12 is because Aoshima decided to start from scratch and make a new kit of the BttF movie car. Part 1 and Part 2 kits have been released with Part 3 coming in March.
  7. EDIT - So curiosity got the better of me. Using a dummy cart it would cost $113.96 to ship via UPS or a whopping $199.12 to go through the mail. So I stand corrected. EGADS!!
  8. Spotmodel in Spain will sell it to you for an even $200US before shipping. Not sure how much shipping would be, but it surely isn't $179!
  9. Box arrived from HobbyEasy today containing a re-release of the Alpha Model Porsche 911 Carrera (or as I've been calling it "the regular 911" with all of the various GT3/GT3RS options floating around). This had previously sold out awhile back, but they've run off another 100pcs. Also included is the Fat Frog Scale Model (HobbyEasy house 3D printing brand) Magnesium Forged Rims for the Tamiya 911 GT3RS.
  10. They stopped reissuing it as the DoH kit, but it's been reissued at least once since then without the TV show tie-in.
  11. They've run the Mitchell a couple of times already and done several private label boxings of the Corvette. I have to honest and say the AM subject matter didn't really appeal to me, so I haven't paid much attention to what Academy has done with it, especially the aircraft. I just know they have the tooling and have released a few items from it.
  12. The Accurate Miniatures tooling was purchased by Acadeny many years ago.
  13. Gotta remember the two 1971 kits were released back-to-back fairly quickly in an under 6-month period. Gotta let things breathe for a while and get inventory sold off before the next variant comes out. You'd ideally want to see one (or both) of the 1971s to sell out so then when you run the "new" 1973 kit, you can run a small quantity of the 1971(s) for re-stock at the same time while main tooling inserts are racked to combine costs into one production run.
  14. Would have been, but would also preclude reissuing it in the future specifically as a service truck "first" the way the two most recent repops of the 1950 Chevy P/U were pushed (by the box) as a Union 76 & Texaco Service Trucks.
  15. I believe that means it would be the final version of the Bugatti 25, this would be the 3rd kit out of that tooling.
  16. It's a couple of pictures of the placard Moebius had on their table at the Hobby Expo in Vegas in late 2023. Obviously they didn't quite hit that 2024 date. Somewhere on here in the Car section Dave addressed the development of their future projects and as I recall this was still in the design stages with other stuff coming before it. Sunward are some strange cats in general based on their YouTube channel content. I suppose it's meant to be humorous, but it just comes off as weird.
  17. Back when I was less than thrilled with the back seat they actually sent me a couple of short videos showing at GTAm with something that appears closer to the kit seats except carpeted in really fuzzy nearly shag style sound deadening material. Imagine a carpeted speaker box except the entire rear seat area is covered in it. That's not what the current GTAm looks like at all, with a more spartan race car style stripped rear seating area. I kinda wonder if the problem is with them building it from an early prototype and not the production car. As the car in the videos didn't seem to have the production car Sport Seats either. It's still a disappointment considering the cost, but I took one look at the test shot and went - Well guess I'm filling in the rear seat holes and building a GTA out of that.
  18. As others have pointed out there's still the T-Top headliner, which when you think about the tooling is the top of the bottom if you will. That stuff is engraved on the top part of the core (aka bottom) of the mold. So the plastic flows between it and the top part of the mold that has the outside sheet metal part. They very likely just created a new top flat metal inset that gets "tacked" into place to run the tool this way, which is why the door opening isn't quite the right shape. These era of Monogram tool is a large one piece (well two, top and bottom) mold that injects as a whole all at once. That's why the flat hood is just dangling off to the side of existing parts, and why all the other 3n1 parts are still there. It would be a huge pain in the rear to have to weld everything off and then cut the welds out to run it "normally" again.
  19. I pointed out things were wrong prior to the public announcement of the release, but they didn't fix anything. This is a quick and dirty reissue that uses the prior parts with a couple of things added to it. There's a Mugen Civic coming at the same that appears to not have anything resembling the wheels which is a glaring part of the visible differences compared to the kit they're reissuing from... both are quick and dirty (and lazy) things to make sure they had some stuff on the market so they would have some sales prior to Lunar New Year break.
  20. Wouldn't 65 and up Mustangs be all of them? 🤣
  21. Body and flat hood. The Monogram '79 Camaro had always been a T-Top prior to this release.
  22. There hardly anyone in the U.S. that will do plating anymore on commercial injection molded kits. You want chromed parts on an aftermarket kit being produced in a war zone?
  23. In the previous post I mentioned being too lazy to take these photos, but I eventually overcame my procrastination. Shunko sheets are for the Tamiya Pajero Dakar kit. The others are all from Reji Model- The Audi is one sheet that builds either the '18 or '19 car. Another random sheet for the Belkits 6R4 and Bastos sheet for the Ascona. And the "logo sheets" for the 555s on Hasegawa Subarus and the Rothmans logos for the Ascona kit.
