  1. Thanks guys
  2. mounted the intercooler as well.. I know Ill have to touch up the paint by the time I final assemble but I needed to so I can make the piping.
  3. thats the main driver, because of the exhaust and the order I need to assemble everything it was almost impossible to get that in the right spot. and now with the radiator change you can see a lot of that area too.. the part missing behind the radiator? yeah I thought that was weird, I didnt worry much because I planned on cutting that area anyway. Got it pretty close, I know its not 100% correct, but I think it looks a lot better than the big hunk of plastic up there.
  4. then this happened... rebuilding the front of the engine bay next....
  5. So I forgot about the rack... and got REALLY lucky... I mean I planned this all along got that in and installed my shock/struts too.
  6. Fantastic! love it!!
  7. thank you! firewall ready for more primer, I also opened up the area in front of the radiator. Debating about the top of the core support still.. part of me really thinks I should separate it and attach it to the body.
  8. Yes, got it all roughed out, looks like it should work well. The intercooler should fit ok, if not I know I can trim some from behind that bumper
  9. Last one, this should make sense soon....
  10. ready for primer
  11. same concept with that intercooler, think this must have been from a truck kit of some sort. it ended up being a little wide so the saw came back out more to come...
  12. time to tackle that radiator issue, figured i should make an intercooler while I was at it. Found all my radiators I thought could help. ended up deciding just to work with the stock one. cut the tanks off and narrowed the offending side a bit. styrene added to remake the tanks, wanted to go for an aftermarket aluminum look. that should do! Need to add the filler and the hose locations, but I'm happy with it.
  13. I really like this! great job!
  14. shot some primer on the engine bay, while I am waiting for that to dry I figured I could make a couple front struts. The kit ones have springs on them so this works better for me.
  15. that reservoir needed to go, so I figured now was as good of a time as any. I might remove that core support and mount it to the body, one to make assembly easier, and two to blend it better.
  16. firewall time, that brake booster has to go, manual brakes for this track ride. also filling the hinge slots while im at it.
  17. Thanks guys
  18. thanks, no its all scratchbuilt from sheet. thank you. Got first coat of primer on the spoiler and some finish sanding. couldnt resist another mockup with the hood. I am really happy with how this is turning out
  19. Oh ya, thats not going anywhere easy.. It will be easier to do something with the radiator. Took a break from engine stuff and tackled that spoiler I need. I think this should work.
  20. was doing pretty good till I decided to squeeze the radiator in there. Not so sure that clearance would work in the real world, Gonna need to do something different I'm sure. Off to search the google to find ideas...
  21. Spent the day at the NNL in Toledo yesterday, tons of new inspiration to get me motivated today. Seems like I am taking baby steps here, but the little stuff is pushing me here, hoping its worth it all in the end. Got the fuel regulator made and the return line on the fuel rail, I also wired the sensors in the throttle body while I was at it. Figured it was a good time to mock everything back up and make sure it still fits, also got some primer on the front splitter and rear diffuser.
  22. thank you! It will be interesting to see how that plays out in resin, it was worth it in the end, but this rear end is really finicky to say the least
  23. Saw it in person today, looks great
