  1. Making progress.. Hopefully I can get it close enough that once everything is on the motor it is convincing. Started on the other side.
  2. Pretty sure everything but the body will look new, used but not to crazy weathered. The body will look like the reference, in progress.
  3. Great work so far, the details are amazing
  4. Hot rod GM vortex 4200 inline 6? Sound like the right engine to me..
  5. So I guess I couldn't leave well enough alone, the "old" straight 6 wasn't going to cut it anymore.. What did I do?......
  6. Thanks!! Means a lot coming from a builder of your caliber. Got a bit of the chrome off, the wheels were molded in Grey, so that helps visualize for now.
  7. a couple sets of Pegasus wheels and tires donated to this build today. Cut the hoops off a set for the front, and used a set of sleeves in the rear. Added some trimmed up Revell Integra wheels and this was the result. I need to strip some chrome, but I'm debating if I should just do the centers, or go with a gloss/satin black for the whole wheel.
  8. Cyber grey or the centennial scheme would be cool
  9. Looks pretty good. It all works well together Looks pretty good. It all works well together
  10. Thanks... I have half a mind to attempt building a modern GM ecotec 4 banger.. I think that could be fun. I like the 6 though too...
  11. got the front going while I was down in the workshop. a look at it without the tires in the way another mockup with wheels/tires
  12. OK, so I didnt like the back at all. i did a little more hunting for pictures on the internet and followed that up with cutting the back half off this morning. I am really glad I did, with a fresh mind I think i attacked it much better this time. I was really over thinking it the first attempt. I'll let the pictures do the talking for now.
  13. Thanks guys
  14. Might re start the rear area.. Not sure I'm loving it yet
  15. I'm going back and forth between turbo or side mounted carbs..
  16. After I got the engine/trans length figured out it was time to start the chassis. I used the tube front from that same Revell Mustang. the rest is all styrene. I am pretty happy with it so far.
  17. Used the 5 speed out of a Revell mustang and attached to the 41's straight 6.
  18. Thanks everyone, your comments are encouraging to say the least.
  19. Really nice, everything works well together here
  20. Looks really good, love the wheels
  21. Thanks guys
  22. top back on, and roof cut open, also shown with a parts box center section and aluminum tube rear axle. Initial mockup to see how this will play out. debating using styrene or brass for the chassis... guess I'll figure that out as I go..
  23. So I stumbled upon this a while ago, and knew I had to use it for inspiration for a build.. Today is the day I started to make that happen. Wont be an exact replica, but I am taking major cues from it, I debated between a few bodies, but the 41 won in the end (mostly cause it has a straight 6 and its ugly) Started with a slice off the bottom then started on a mild chop, I didn't do nearly as much as I initially marked.
