  1. Remade the v band clamp for the header, managed to get it a bit smaller. Also go the tip made from a piece of stainless tube.
  2. Thanks guys
  3. Ok so I decided to bite the bullet.. I needed to drill through the back of the frame. I took my time and it turned out well, so I remanded that tail pipe. I also made a band clamp for the connection between the header and the pipe. Still deciding on that, might try that one again. I'll make the tip when I get everything finalized.
  4. Continuing on the exhaust. Finished up the header, decided to combine the two exits into one, seemed the easiest for what I have planned for the exhaust, using stainless wire that I polished, and turned a stainless muffler on the lathe. I had good success making the dump on my mustang out of stainless, so I decided to try and take it a step farther. It's hard to get the pretty colors that stainless turns with paint. I think this was the most convincing way. I'm not sure I like the exit yet, but I'm making progress. I will make a stainless tip when I decide where I want the final exit to be.
  5. Thanks everyone. Your comments are appreciated
  6. Thanks guys I'm really happy with how this is progressing
  7. Thank you. I'm picking up on it little by little
  8. Ok being a perfectionist I decided to redo them after I had a better idea
  9. what did you use for the rings around the exhaust? It looks awesome
  10. Another shot.. They are all just loose on there so don't mind the wonky one in the back
  11. Drilling for the linkage was kinda meh... I need a jig of some sort. I did start the fuel rail though
  12. thank you! I managed to get 6 to look alike, now to try and drill them for the linkage...
  13. I ordered 6061 and 2024 aluminum. I haven't really done anything before. I used a lathe back in middle school. YouTube helped with basics though.
  14. Test run for the throttle bodies. Need to pick up a number size larger bit for ease of assembly later (these had to be pressed in with a vice) Also going to make them a touch longer so I have room for a fuel rail and linkage
  15. Got the fronts now, getting the hang of this. Really glad I got all the attachments and adjustable hand wheels. I think I'm ready to try and make the coil overs.
  16. So maybe I won't be doing all black wheels after all..
  17. Love that! Great work with the wheels
  18. I always thought the 48 to look kinda odd, but entry now and then comes a build that makes me rethink that. This is one of those builds. Great looking model. Thanks for sharing
  19. Hopefully this helps a bit.. The rears are a two piece 23 inch wheel from Pegasus, and the fronts are a ring trimmed off a 19. I trimmed the Acura wheels to slide in.
  20. Got some primer on the header. First part in primer! Ha
