  1. Took three shots before I got a set I liked, but got the wheels worked out.
  2. Went down to tweak that pillar back into shape, I'll probably have to reinforce them with brass or music wire. Grabbed a rear shot down there while I was down there.
  3. Apparently I need to tweak those pillars back too...
  4. Looks great as usual. I myself have a love hate relationship with the cameras. Saved me a few times for sure
  5. Thanks guys, more work on the front flares, and started sorting out wheels. Taped off the line, started with the xacto and finished with a scribe/dental pic
  6. Needing to take a break from the fiddly bits on my 41 pickup build I figured why not start another build, I picked up this corvette kit cheap at the show this past weekend in Columbus. What better way to start it off than by cutting it all up. Kind of going a similar style as my last Mustang build. Cut to make room for some big tires, in this case 19/20 combo from the ZR1 corvette using the cut off flare as the base for the new flares, moving them up and out in the process. Should help keep it looking like a Vette but give it a meaner look and stance. Very early mock-up to see if we are headed in the right direction. I borrowed the front wheels and tires from the 41 to see what it looks like with some wheels under there.
  7. After what seemed like forever I got an oil pan, oil pump, and the first set of lines routed. Everything is real tight in there. Final assembly should be interesting
  8. Next focused on the oil lines for the dry sump system
  9. Then I turned my focus to steering, started by making a form to make a D shaped hoop. Mated with the center of a parts box wheel
  10. Thanks guys, got some more stuff done, might not look like much but I'm teaching myself as I go here. Also apparently making everything takes forever.. Haha Got more of the upper shock mounts completed.
  11. Thanks guys, decided I'm going a dry sump on this one, got the oil tank made up and mounted. I'm running out of space quick!
  12. Will there be an "in progress" display area?
  13. Dullcoat, acrylic washes, light scuff or sanding?
  14. Really clean build. Excellent
  15. Thank you, huge compliment from a builder of your caliber
  16. Also got the front coil overs made, really happy with how these turned out, now I can make the upper mount and a arms.
  17. Tonight's progress.. Decided the first fuel cap I made wasn't going to cut it, have I mentioned I like this lathe thing?
  18. Unless you count metal shop in jr high. No I'm just learning as I go. I did remake the overflow, the first one was a little small.
  19. I think my favorite part of your builds is my personal learning while watching you take the time to make sure it's possible for this to exist in 1:1
  20. Keep playing with the lathe, trying to push/teach myself as so go. I'm happy with these parts for today.
