  1. Tweaked the blower a bit. made it a little shorter, adjusted the drive shaft, and the throttle body mounting area.
  2. Yup.. You know how I feel. I'm lucky to know someone include just as nutz as me
  3. Time to change gears and get a power-plant for this thing. I am robbing the LS based engine and transmission from the Revell SSR kit. That could have been cool as is, but.... Well I will let the pictures do the talking. Roots style blower seems a lot more fun, I am really happy with how it came out.
  4. Well this is cool.
  5. I started to sort out that engine bay, anyone that knows these AMT kits know they started life as a promo and the engine bay leaves a bit to be desired. not to mention the build this was before, I had hacked the heck out of it.. Since it had to be changed anyway, might as well smooth it out too.
  6. It's really not much to see.. I started it before I really knew how stuff works (probably at least 12-15 years ago) the chassis is a little rough.
  7. At the end of the day, like it or not.. New kits are a good thing. Period
  8. making more progress on the box tonight.. I almost hate to cover this.. Might have to think on that one a bit.. then I had an idea... I started that S-10 years and years ago.. before I even knew any better and the chassis is not my best effort, however.... I could fix that, the "u-hauler" would make a good tow rig for a under construction mini truck project...
  9. I'm really excited for this kit to come out, I'll be watching this one. It was disappointing I couldn't make it to the meeting the other day, even more so when I found out I could have seen this in person.
  10. cool idea! BTW, those purple and silver "resistor" are amplifiers, usually speakers that large need much more juice than a typical head unit can produce
  11. found a parts box axle, cut the center pumpkin out and made my own tubes> now I have a pretty good foundation to build off of. I like to put a metal tube through for stability and strength. Shouldn't have to worry about the axle "bowing" this way. I am going to have to notch the cross-member or two just forward of the axle though for drive-shaft clearance.
  12. Not much, took a break from it to work on a couple other builds.. I do not want to rush this one
  13. I'd vote for the grand master for the pure fact we need more chevy hot rods out there...
  14. Thanks everyone, I was pretty surprised how well they turned out
  15. got all the tires narrowed up, and trimmed down the wheels a bit around the lip to make everything fit together nicely. I think it lays out quite nicely..
  16. I sure I have something useable, I just have to find it... Tried my hand at narrowing the front tires, not a ton but enough to take out that way too wide look pegasus tires can have, I might do the rears now too.
  17. rear bridge for axle clearance, need to find me a beefy center for that rear axle.
  18. Man I was hoping for full detail, i really want the new NASCAR drivetrain...
