  1. Glad to see this one again, I found some various sized punches in the scrap book section of hobby lobby that seem to work well.
  2. That black one with the green interior sure is nice
  3. Really nice builds! Love the burban
  4. made up the interior rear wall and floorpan this morning, tricky getting it tight on the firewall but I got it done. The rear wall follows the chassis "z" so i can have as much room in there as possible. Now for something a little overkill for the powerplant... Started with this part box manifold, sliced it down the middle and filled the runners to line up with the heads. cleaned up for whats coming next.. yup, that should do needs some cleanup and shaping, but I think I can make it convincing.
  5. Another spot on concept, can't wait to see what's you do here
  6. Really good start, I'm glad these kits are a hit, I hope they keep coming
  7. Thanks guys! I starred to get the engine and such sorted out. Replaced the tail shaft of the trans with one a little shorter, using the hemi from the 32 kit. I also made up the front engine mount. Not bad for winging it, and a day's work.. 19 or so days to go..
  8. Ok I lied, drilled out the front for pins, and separated it from the frame Also lowered it another scale 2 inches up front and figured out my rolling stock. Found my box of modelhaus stuff, zero offset raiders and 120c up front and a set of deep steel wheels on Amt parts pack pie crust slicks
  9. Probably going to raise the front spring perch to drop the front down a bit more.
  10. Little bit of styrene and the 32 firewall hacked together to make a firewall. Fit the 32 crossmember, modified 29 front drop axle up front and cleaned up the 32 rear. Since we are going ratty, no reason not to fix the front axle first. Should be stronger that way.
  11. Leaky good start! I've been having a hard time deciding what to do with mine. I'll be watching
  12. Lucky enough to have seen this in person, the detail and execution was flawless!
  13. Wow, those are great!
  14. I am the minority in liking the c7 taillight, but this picture has my attention
  15. Well that turned out awesome! And hat tree is from the revel 32, I'd recognize those weird bumpers anywhere. Ha!
  16. hanks Pat!
  17. That engine looks fantastic. Great build
  18. This should be cool
  19. This morning I got to work on the frame rails, haven't tried this method before, but I'm happy with how it turned out. Laminated a few .040 rails together that I cut from a sheet. Assembled with some .080 rod for crossmembers and some mock up to see how we are doing.
  20. My buddy (impalow) and I decided to give our selfs the 27h as a deadline for a theme build for an upcoming show in PA on the 27th. The theme is rats, and I figured this was a good way to get something completed. Starting with a 32 body that wouldn't quite come clean after soaking in the purple stuff for a long (years) time. I cut out the cowl area so I could sink a big old motor in there.
  21. This turned out really nice
  22. Thanks everyone! You are right Pat, did some work on the workshop today, I was getting over run with stuff. I'll be back on this soon enough
