Here's a R/M 48 Convert that had me busy for a while. I didn't much care for the mile high stance of the kit suspension so I swapped in a modified dropped axle from the 37 Ford kit and then lowered the rear a little. Wheels were made by cutting the chrome outer rims from the "Revell" mags in the kit and placing the painted 48 centers behind them. Paint is Testors Turquoise and Gunmetal grey/Pearl chassis and engine. Here it is compared to a stock 48 Woody. Unfortunately in this kit the same suspension is supplied for both the stock and the custom version. I think it is the same in the Goodguys version as well. One downside is that the decals were rubbish and just fell apart in the water. I managed to rescue the license plate
