  2. No I won't be there, just a little too much road time. If it was a little closer I would love to make it. Thanks for making me feel wanted though Charlie Pro Tech
  3. Thanks guys, a small update. I finished the rear tires/wheels. The tires are recast from the old Johan funny car kits. I detailed the wheels using Pro Tech’s hex fittings (PTMC 25) used for lug nuts (along with Evergreen .025 rod) and Pro Tech’s machined aluminum valve stems, then gave everything a mild weathering. Thanks for looking! Charlie Pro Tech
  4. You got a very keen eye there dougie88, and I think you are right. Actually that decal was not in the kit's decals but from a Slixx vintage drag sheet. The reason for me using it (in that location) was due to a not so great mating of the rear (driver's compartment) and side panel decals that join at that area. I'm guessing the name change has something to do with licensing. Thanks for your comment! Charlie Pro Tech
  5. Thanks guys for the comments, appreciate it. Charlie Pro Tech

  10. Just wondering who will be there from the forum????? I will be there Sat. only (Oct. 1) with Pro Tech goodies, stop by and say hi. I also will have a number of my new 1/16 scale parts with me for sale. Charlie Pro Tech
  11. Thanks guys, I finished the frame and have detailed it with the following – I sanded off the molded on belts and buckles on the seat and used Pro Tech’s racing harness converted to a vintage style of belt system. I also detailed the fuel cell with Pro Tech’s gas cap and photoetch nuts and bolts. I also used the nut and bolts for detailing the front suspension. Then I gave the front suspension a light wash. Now on to some body color. Thanks for looking!! Charlie Pro Tech
  12. Chris, those headers are looking killer! Charlie Pro Tech
  13. Nice work Shane! Look forward to the paint. Charlie Pro Tech
  14. Thanks guys! Rom, this is 1/25 scale. I do have a 1/16 distributor/magneto kit (kind of like the one you built for your WIP) that will be available in the future. Later, Charlie Pro Tech
  15. Here’s the latest new part from Pro Tech. Cirello Magneto Kit (PTMC 34). - Kit comes with boot material and full instructions. This is a great looking magneto for all those vintage drag builds (funny cars, dragsters, etc. etc.). Happy Modeling! Charlie Pro Tech www.protechmodelparts.com
  16. Nice Wayne, Really like the early Stang!! Charlie Pro Tech
  17. Another beautiful build from "The Master". John keep building like this and we all will keep following! Now let's get back to that drag stuff. Charlie Pro Tech
  18. Chris, headers look great! much better than kit pcs. Did you have to insert rod etc. at bend point to keep tube from collapsing? Look forward to more. Charlie Pro Tech
  19. Thanks guys for the comments! I have been busy working on a new line of 1/16 – 1/18 scale parts and have not had much time to work on any personal builds but here’s the latest on the Ivo F/E dragster. I have managed to complete the engine assembly with the following – the barrel valve is scratchbuilt and I made the headers from solder. The aftermarket parts used are all Pro Tech items and are as follows – Braided Line, Hex Fittings, Plug Wire, Plug Boots, Supercharger Pulley Set, Gauges (for oil pressure), photoetch Nuts/Bolts and new Cirello Magneto Kit. I also gave the entire engine a mild weathering to give it a used look. Thanks again for checking it out! The frame will be completed next so stay tuned!! Charlie Pro Tech
  20. Great job guys, love the vintage stuff. This is a gas dragster that I built from the Ramcharger's kit. Charlie Pro Tech
  21. Batzilla, yes actually it would double the cost of the product and even though I would gain a few modelers that would like the ease of not cleaning up the frets I would lose 5 times as many due to a $11.00+ set of linkages so it's not the best way to go in the business sense. Taking that same thought process (user friendly product) I have designed a few of my photoetch items i.e. Racing Harness Set (PTMC 17), Hood Pins (PTMC 6), with that in mind. The Racing Harness Set does not require you to do any bending of the buckles or do any looping of the belt material through the buckles. I designed this set to allow for very easy assembly with very realistic results. The Hood Pins is another original design I came up with that has the "pins" etched onto the plate as a one piece unit. This allows those that do not want to make a functional unit an alternative to a good looking photoetch hood pin assembly. Thanks in advance for your order and thanks to all that support Pro Tech, Charlie Pro Tech
  22. shucky, no, this set will only be offered as is. It would be too cost prohibitive (cost to modeler/end user) to do them the other way. Charlie Pro Tech
  23. Mike, I have 1/16 - 1/18 scale 5 Point Racing Harness Sets. I do not have them on my site as of yet as I will do an "official" release in the near future but they are available for sale at this time. The kit comes with white metal buckles, textured material for belts and instructions. Give me a call or PM me if interested. I will also have a number of detailing parts to be released in this scale in the near future. Charlie Pro Tech 321-960-0532
  24. Hey guys, here's the latest from Pro Tech, 1/25 scale photoetch Throttle Linkages part #PTMC 47 (I will also have these in 1/16 scale real soon). Till next time, Charlie Pro Tech 321-960-0532
  25. John, stunning build bud, love everthing!! and that paint is just far-out man. Some of those "back in the day" show cars were pretty cool with all those ideas coming to life and you did a great job replicating that in scale. This thing is just screaming for a mag article...... Gregg. Keep up the great work John. Charlie Pro Tech
