This car is a 1958 - 1961 Simca Vedette Chambrod. It was powered by a 2400c ccm V8. This V8 was based on the Ford V8-60 Flathead. The name and the engine were carriy overs from Ford. Ford had sold in 1954 there french subsidiary to Simca. So from 10954 there were no more Ford Vedettes only Somca VedetetsThe Vedette was also build in Brasilia and it was named Chambrod. This brazilian car could also be ordere with the EMI-SUL V8 which was aflathead with OHV heads like the Adrun heads on the 239 and 255 cui flattys. Henry Ford's first mass production V8, the good old flathead, was sold from 1954 t0 1966 from Chrysler The correct answer were sent in by GeeBee porschercr dw1603 DonW ChrisR sjordan2 natthijsgrit Earl Marischal Well done and congratulations.

It is 0:05 CET and the One off Build quiz is over. This car looks like a Bentley but it isn‘t it one of the last Alvis. It is a 1967 Alvis Burns Special. As DonW mentioned it has aa fascinating story. Jim Burns was a businessman who had made his fortune in the world of pop music manufacturing electric guitars for the likes of The Shadows and Eric Clapton, he was also a genuine petrol head and a keen Alvis enthusiast, so having sold his interests in his business he decided to try his luck in the automotive industry and this was the car. More about him and the car just follow the link. The correct answer were sent in by Porschrcr Richard Bartrop Bucky dw1603 GeeBee DonW matthijsgrit Matt Bacon Earl Marischal Congratulations

This car is not a Woodill Wildfire. It is according to the owner of this car a Glasspar G-2 from 1953. The body is made out of fiibreglass only a few were sold as complete car most of them were sold as kits. OSo this car was the first production car with a Fibreglass body. Here a video of the production of the Glasspar G2 body. The first Woodill prototypes used the body of the Glasspar G-2 the production version had different rear fender, different grill and dashboard with the 2 humps. Here my parts that I made for the Speed City Resin Econoline. These parts doesn't fit the RMR body. If it fits the Flintstone I don't know. I made the parts for The Original Backup Pickup wheelstander., either the Holly Swindle or the Galpin Ford version. -
Not only for reference. If you own a flathead this is the Company were you can get everything

Here the next challenge. Although this car has a number, modern wheels and no doors it was based on a street legal version of this car, that features bumper, different wheels and doors. As usual sent PM with Year, Make and Type

Excellent build -
This time I was looking for a car that is based on the CW311 from bb GmbH & Co Auto KG in Frankfurt/Germany. It was used in the movie "Car-napping" from 1980. Eberhard Schulz (development engineer at Porsche) designed the Isdera Imperator 108i as a successor of the CW311. Around 30were build. The first serie (built 1984 -1991) had a 5600ccm V8 from Mercedes-Benz, the 2nd series (build 1991 - 1993) was delivered with a 5000ccm V8 from Mercedes-Benz.
