This time i was looking for an Australian car, yes a car from Down Under. The base car was a Mini but with some heavy modification. There were a few fastback or coupe styled Mini available. Some of you said it is a Broadspeed GT 2+2 but it isn't. This one is a1966-1967 Buckle Monaco. Buckle Motors Pty. Ltd. was founded in 1927 in Sdyney, Australia. In 1957 they started building cars, before that the were a dealership for Triumph, Citroen, DeSoto etc. This was a fibreglass bodied Coupe with components of the Ford Zeyphr. Then the start building Goggomobil for the Australian market and in 1966 the started manufactured the Buckle Monaco. The conversion saw the original roof replaced with a lower, sleeker, fibreglass roof which significantly reduced the weight of the vehicle. This lighter, more aerodynamic conversion of the Mini was a total of 4 inches shorter than the standard model. About 30 cars were build. I think that I had confused most of you with this car. The easy part was that this is a Utility or Ute, the Australian pickup. And yes it is a car that was build by Chrysler Australia from 10/1975-10/1976 and it is based on the Chrysler Valiant VK. The VK Utility it was sold as a Dodge according to my source. Although a different source listed that there were also Valiant VK Utility. The brochures that I found are only Ddge VK's. The Dodge name was used for the cheaper versions of the Chrysler Valiant VJ Utility or Chrysler Valiant VH Utility. Maybe some of our members down under can clarify this. Some members who sent in an answer said Chrysler Valiant Ute, but missed the correct version. They mention either VH or VJ but both are the predecessors. Sorry for that. The following members l said Dodge VK Utility: porschercr matthijsgrit GeeBee DonW dw1603 Bucky Congratulations

OH sh.. where was my brain. s a Ford guy I had wrote complete nonsense about this one. Yes it is based on the Rambler American and the IKA Torino. Thanks to Ace -Garageguy and ChrisR for correctingmy mistake. Sorry for that. Here the correct version. In 1967 Lutteral started to modify to IKA Torino which was based on the Rambler American. The Lutteral Comahue was born. In 1971 the front gets a fibreglass extension and was build as a GTA 220 (220hp), GTA 195 (195hp), Coupe 175 (the car that I'm looking for) and station wagon Safari 175. In 1977 came a fastback version. in 1979 Lutteral ends production. The correct answer were sent by: IBuildScaleModels porschercr dw1603 Bucky ChrisR Ace-Garageguy Congratulations

This beauty is based on a FIAT 850. It used the engine and the chassis from the FIAT 850. The body was designed by Dany Brawand and manufactured at Moretti Motor Company in Turin, Italy. The Moretti 850 Sportiva was from 1965 - 1971, approx. 300 cars were build. This weeks car was a 1966 - 1971 Jensen FF (FF stands for Ferguson Formula). The FF was the first production 4x4 passenger car, long before the AMC Eagle, Audi Quattro and Subaru Leone. It was based on the Jensen Inteceptor which was 12.7 cm (5") shorter and had only 1 side opening, while the FF had 2. Only 350 were build it wasn't a commercial success compared to the Interceptor. No convertibles were produced. It seems that this one was an easy quiz because 15 out of 17 got the correct answer Matt Bacon sjordan Bucky dw1603 Richard Bartrop Pete J.
