  1. That's a really sharp rig, nice job on all the added details.
  2. Good job, has a cool look to it, hopefully new pics when you get decals ?
  3. I really like what you have done so far, The Autocar is one of my old favorites too, I'll be watching to see more
  4. That looks like a great space, you are really going to enjoy it ! I like the different levels of the desk, looks handy. I built a workshop for this hobby 2 years ago off the end of the real farm shop, worth every penny and hour spent building it, it's my happy place. congratulations on yours!
  5. Here's one that's been sitting on the workbench for a loooong time, finally dusted it off and finished up. A swap meet Ertl Paystar that had some poorly glued engine and chassis but no paint, the rest was still pretty good though. Added AITM wheels and tires and a winch and winch tower from ebay, if you search trucks much there you've probably seen them, pretty nice pieces. Also a resin toolbox, auslowe mud flaps, and fenders, hydraulic tank and some other bits from the parts stash, scratch built the frame roller and rails. My first attempt at any weathering too, rusted the roller and dirtied up the fifth wheel. Comments and or suggestions are welcome, I'm always looking to improve.
  6. Wow ! impressive collection, The yellow KW is my favorite
  7. Bud decals are available reprinted http://www.ebay.com/itm/Budweiser-Beer-Trailer-/160922954633?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2577c16b89 I've seen others also, I have a set of reprints that look good but I haven't used them yet. cant't remember who I got mine from though
  8. If you can wait theres some news here that might interest you http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64836
  9. Thanks Tom, I should take a look at some of these new issues I'm guessing some others have this to.
  10. That is a real beauty Harry, thanks for sharing it with us, it obviously takes some real dedication to finish one. I have the Fiat and also recently got an Alfa with a TON of aftermarket parts in a trade and the ones you have shared here have given me some inspiration to start one. That and the fact that after 30 years of working 2 and sometimes 3 jobs I am finally down to 1 and now have some free time to enjoy this hobby. I hope my skills and patience are up to it
  11. Looking good, I was wondering about the seats, door panels, is that a decal ? and where did you get it ?
  12. ya that flu is awful, but I survived it. Neat project, I personally like the pipes, you said they need polished, are they aluminum tubing? They would look better polished
  13. cool so far ! good start
  14. A nice one, I really like seeing the resin conversions all finished up right like this one, good job

  19. I've known about the Bellvue show now for a couple years but I never make it, wrong time of year for me, too busy sitting in the combine to take a day off. I keep thinking maybe it will rain that day but that hasn't happend yet, we''ll keep it in mind just in case. Randy
  20. That's pretty cool ! You almost feel kinda sorry for the little guy
  21. Hi Paul, I'm from Guthrie Center about 140 miles SE of you, or basically the middle of nowhere if you look at a map. I know how you feel, I don't know any other model builders close to me either, my friends like to look at what I'm building but they never want to join in. I'm still really bummed that the Omaha show and swap in Feb was cancelled, its the only one I made it to This forum is a really great place though, you sure get to see a lot of talent and ideas here ! Randy
  22. That's really nice ! I have those 2 but haven't started yet, It's so cool to have some NEW truck models to work with, and you really did them up right.
