  1. That's really cool ! I'm thinking maybe some spare parts for his plane on the roof rack?
  2. I'm thinking about adding something like that The local plumbers trucks have "We're number 1 in the number 2 business" on them Thanks fellas !!
  3. Great job, looks right at home at the station too
  4. so far my local NAPA still has it, they did say Black Magic now owned it but the packages they get still looked like it always has. Maybe their warehouse has some old stock ? might be worth a look if you have a NAPA close
  5. congratulations, I finally got a sealed one after only 4 years and $82 and yes I will break the seal and build it ! I've seen them go for MUCH more many times
  6. I like where you're going with this one
  7. That's really nice, looks super clean and well done !
  8. Started out to be just a water tanker but it was looking a little bulky so it got pushed aside, then one day I was looking at truck pics on the web and ran across an old Mack with a tank cleaner that was a similar size so here's where we ended up. The plumbing is probably not 100% accurate but it was fun building it. Made up a fictional company for my first attempt at printing decals with an inkjet printer.
  9. I remember hearing somewhere the trucking companies were getting tired of all the driver injuries from falls climbing in and out of cabovers
  10. Exactly my point, with that said my children are in public school and almost every day we spend time deprogramming them from all the social engineering, propoganda, and re-written history. They seem to be getting the fundamentals ok, I just wish they could stick to that ! Sorry, just venting a little.
  11. You really brought that kit to life with all the extras, cage looks great, nice job ! Randy
  12. "It's the governments job to educate our children" ????????? I'm going to read the Constitution again, I must have missed that part, but my parents taught me to read in spite of the public education system, or maybe my brain is just fried from 13 years of riding in a school bus with no A/C and a yellow roof. Back then the seats had exposed metal framework too, it's a wonder I'm even here to talk about it.
  13. Nice, I really like the heavy duty look on this one.
  14. From the Lotus Indy turbine, its about 14mm wide, 7mm at tallest point, 50mm long, I only have one though here's a pic
  15. I was just looking at a Lotus Indy turbine car model I got just because it has the wheel horse tractor in it, The windscreen looks quite similar to the drawing but theres only 1 per kit, just another idea. Neat project you started! Randy
  16. Thanks for sharing this, I have thought about trying this after having glue joints show up through the paint. I cut and spliced a roof with glue, let it dry for a couple months, painted it and it looked fine, went ahead and finished and foiled it, a few weeks later that glue joint started to show up . I am definately going to give this a try. I would have liked to seen the expression on your face when that model got sucked down the tube glad it survived the trip for you. Randy
  17. Really gonna miss it, that's usually the only one I get to each year
  18. Real nice truck you have there. I especially like the lettering, looks just right
  19. Yes indeed, time well spent. Very nice
  20. Looking forward to it, always a great show, I really enjoy the contest tables, but always $pend too much at the vendor tables
  21. I like it, nice weathering and a cool setting !!
  22. nice pics, thanx for sharing them, I could have been there if not for a nephews wedding, maybe next year! I really like that blue freightliner with the mounted bull rack, just what I need, another project idea
  23. That's pretty cool, looks like you had fun building it !!
  24. I too have had good success on old decals with Testors spray decal bonder
