I built this one in 1990-91 something. Then it came out like this:
After a couple of years I got tired of it and decided to repaint it, but....I did more than that! I stripped the paint and did some more work on the body. Late in 2006 it was finished, and now it looks like this:
That one's coming along just fine ! But, personally I'd leave the skirts off or change to some kinda caddy-inspired flush-mounted skirts instead, that'd look more contemporary. Still, I really like that car alot and I can't wait to see it finished!
Good luck saving that old glue bomb!!!! I'm sure You've got both the skill and the right spirit to make this "ugly duckling" into a beautiful kustom-swan!!!!
In the front It'll get an old Corvette "tooth-grille" and instead of lights in the lower parts of the front fenders there will be big chromed bullets from the old AMT '57 Chevy.
In the rear grille opening there will be a lot of small chromed bullets from an old Aurora parts pack.
