Whenever I try to drill out distributors, the drill bit slips off every time. I never have any luck trying to do fuel lines and all that good stuff. When I try to scratchbuild anything, it always gets scrapped. I have yet to scratchbuild one good part... I really want to try a 100% factory correct '69 Charger, but at this point I don't think it's possible Can anyone please give me pointers on a clearly uneducated person on detailing?

Quit putting too much torque to it!! You can try using a hair dryer (but not so much that it MELTS the plastic) and twisting it back that way, or you can use hot water (not boiling).

Your only option is to get some styrene sheet, fill the hole, then cut your smaller window opening out. Then, buy a Hot Wheels car, and take the blister pack off of that for the glass. An excuse to buy a bunch of Hot Wheels
