  1. Thanks guys Chris, the truck came from South Dakota, so dry there that cars don't rust Andy, this was a ranch truck, so it was BRUTALLY abused. It looked pretty rough when we got it (about 5 years ago to the day), but after about 10 waxes, we got her shiny again These pics I took today show off the beautiful dents
  2. Thanks Virgil, and sorry, no rust.
  3. Philip, I debated stripes, but I decided it would make it too easy to screw up Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate it
  4. Thanks guys Liam, I just drive around the house and all that, not on the road.
  5. Thanks Jerred The dents and scratches do indeed give it character, but I plan on repainting it the factory Hugger Orange/white combo.
  6. Thanks everyone
  7. Thanks everyone It's done! Link to the topic in Under Glass: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=58485 And I apologize for only giving two updates Thanks for all who followed
  8. Built this for the Revell Gearz contest. Definitely my best model, could be better but I'm dang proud of it Paint is Model Master Fathom green straight out of the can with no clear. I definitely learned a bunch of things with this build, now I gotta try it on other builds Thanks for looking
  9. Okay, not sure if this should be posted here or in the 1:1 reference pics section. Please move it if necessary So I have a '71 Chevy K/20. Been a ranch truck all 41 years of its life, hence all the scratches and dents We put a 4" Rough Country lift on it, and some Ultra 164 16" rims.
  10. I resized all mine to under 2 MB, it went through but I still have no email...
  11. If that's the case then that blows...that's only 200 kb a piece!
  12. It went to the "Thank you" page for me, no email yet. Just entered a couple minutes ago. Oh, and all my images were around 500 KB.
  13. The license expired or something.
  14. RIP man, you really contributed a lot to racing
  15. I'm fine with it as long as it's in any of the finished models sections. Gives a chance to check out threads you've never seen before. If it's in the General section, I'm fine with it as long as it's no more than a couple months old.
  16. I don't have any instant access to any hobby supplies other than what I have...and that isn't very much
  17. I can see this being especially useful for body work, thanks
  18. I had no choice...I don't have any tube glue, and I don't really have anything else that would work.
  19. No, the problem wasn't the fogging. I never saw any fogging. It's just that I got glue on the windshield...and I haven't done that for two years.
  20. I just broke my first model part out of frustration! I was trying to glue the rearview mirror on a '69 Camaro windshield with superglue (I'm aware that it fogs, but mine doesn't seem to fog very bad at all). Somehow, two drops of glue got on the front! Then I snapped it in half... Now I have to rob a windshield out of another 69 Camaro
