  1. The past few days there have been loads of them. Maybe we can get them all merged into a sticky topic?
  2. maybe try adjusting your airbrush so a bit more paint comes out Sorry, exactly how do I do that? I'm still kinda new to airbrush, so yeah. It sounds like you've got the flakes jammed in there. Clean it out well. Adjust your air pressure a bit higher than normal, see if that works. If not, you might need to thin it a bit more. How large are the flakes? I cleaned it real well after it didn't work the first time, still no luck the second. I never thought of adjusting the air pressure, thanks! Too late now, I decided screw it so I just painted it with a can, it actually came out decent Obvious question and the first one I would ask anyone posing this situation to me. Double action airbrush...Are you pulling back the the control after you press it down to get air. Not meaning any insult, it is just what I would ask anyone. Yup, I'm pulling it back.
  3. Awesome, I'm really enjoying watching this.
  4. Hey, I've run into yet another airbrush problem. So, I decanted some Model Master Fathom Green Metallic lacquer. I go to shoot it through my Harbor Freight double action airbrush...nothing. Just air. Fathom Green is a metallicy paint, so I'm wondering if it's just too much metalflake to shoot through my AB. However, when I shot some silver, it worked just fine... The paint's definitely not too thick, it's actually a little thin, I think. This is only my second time airbrushing a body, first one was with gloss red and it was fine Any obvious problems here? Thanks, Andy
  5. I've got like the worst temper, however I just try to smash the air, not the model. I never have smashed a model, but I've been close a few times...
  6. I ended up cutting the prongs off the bottom of mine and moved them to a more "sitting, not laying" position..
  7. Thanks everyone, I'm gonna try it soon
  8. That's what I was thinking Harry..but I'd hate to ruin a $15 photoetch set.
  9. I just buy a bunch of Hot Wheels, it's a win-win!
  10. To start using photoetch parts? Here are my three best builds in a horrible picture: Guys like Bill Geary are really inspiring me to do clean, detailed, factory stock builds. What are your thoughts on this?
  11. Here's my joint. Whole thing: Paint, scratchbuilding stuff: Parts, more paint: Yet even more paint And a quick little dio I did on my shelf...
  12. We need a bit more info, but it most likely came with a 350.
  13. Got mine yesterday, I just didn't see it I guess. So much inspiration in this issue
  14. I'm out of this build, haven't even started yet, sorry
  15. Ditto. I organize mine by my first ones, to my latest ones. AKA my worst ones to my best ones
  16. I wonder how he plays with his models
  17. I used to play it a bunch but it got annoying when they kept changing it so much. Not to mention all the freakin requests I get...around 5 a day. Blocked 'em
  18. Cool, thanks.
  19. What engines did they come with? Google's only turning up 427s.
