  1. My username comes from the fact that I'm a huge fan of Super Stock Drag Racing My avatar is because I love Yenko Camaros!
  2. I tried this stuff on a body a couple days ago painted with Tamiya TS-26. Needless to say, I was not impressed. After two days, it didn't even soften the paint, it didn't even come off with a tooth brush... And yes, it was the normal yellow stuff. But I sprayed the body in mineral spirits, the paint was softened up completely within 20 minutes So mineral spirits is my paint stripper now, it doesn't melt the plastic.
  3. If there are no side mirrors either, slight accuracy problem there.
  4. #77 bit is about right, but I'd go #78 and make it bigger if necessary.
  5. Sanding mold lines, and doing suspension...Oh and I hate doing BMF too
  6. Climbing into my neighbor's dumpster to get a little piece of screen out.
  7. I found the perfect stuff for it. I had an old HDMI cable that was broken. The inside has plenty of wires wrapped in a foil. Perfect shine and everything.
  8. I was gonna paint my '55 this color, you gotta repaint yours! Nah, I'll just find a new color Awesome job on the model
  9. 36K? And I thought the 78k on my '71 Chevy truck was good Fix her up, it's be awesome to go cruising in that.
  10. Same here! At least when I die though, my kids get the headaches
  11. Very cool Never knew they ran Ford engines.
  12. The way you said it couldn't be any better Personally, I don't mind constructive criticism, as long as it's said in a humane manner.
  13. ...to not start another build until you have finished your current one? Has anyone ever been able to follow through with this?
  14. Thanks guys! Liam, the body is still bare plastic. Haven't completely decided on a color yet.
  15. I'm building this for the Cannonball Run CBP here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51825&st=0 Well, pretty much a plain Jane '55 Chevy straight axle street car. Here's where I'm at so far: This kit has pretty poor detail, so there's gonna be a little scratchbuilding involved. Thanks for looking :-)
  16. I don't know man, the chrome is kinda funny and all...
  17. Blurry picture time! Yes, some stuff looks scruffy, but it's my first time weathering a chassis and truly wiring an engine, so go easy on me. And as you can tell by the chassis, this ain't no trailer queen! I also painted the wheelwells flat black to simulate burnt rubber. Also, I'm doing some exhaust cutouts, I'm trying to figure out how I could make them work with a cable.
  18. Ah, must have mis read that or something. I just couldn't figure out how a belt-driven one would have been too advanced for its time.
  19. Very nice The wheels, I'd just paint em blue.
  20. You chop the glass too. No, you just get acetate and make a new one.
  21. .062 is the ideal size for 1/25. Look, all three of us are from Indiana
