  1. thanks mate. the reason for looking for the interiors is because some have the handbrakes set up different. sometimes even having the stock handbrake and a hydraulic handbrake. this kit came with no handbrake at all so its up to me to scratch build one. i may throw in two handbrakes just for the heck of it
  2. got a little bit of work done today. the motor is fully assembled and i finished the intercooler piping to look like its wrapped. i also have the undercarriage pretty much finished. i may go back and weather it a little more the interior is next, but im still looking for good reference pictures of r32 stripped drift interiors. cant seem to find too many good pictures or pictures that are correct anyway.
  3. i debadged the trunk, did a wing delete and got the body primed. i also cut out the holes in the front bumper for the air vents. i also have some of the motor together so i could start the FMIC piping. i cut open romex wire and bent it to shape. the piping isnt finished i just snapped a picture so you get the idea of how it will look. im thinking about building a front lip and a rear diffuser like this one i need some ideas on rims and paint
  4. thank you thank you thank you. this is exactly the kinda of pictures i was looking for. some exterior reference pictures. i dont know too much about drifting but the main thing i wanted pictures for was for the different body kit styles. still unsure of what i wanna do with this since i find out its such a rare kit. i did see that its a discontinued model but im pretty sure im gonna turn it into a drifter
  5. i dont know too much about these japanese kits and whats harder to find. ive never really been a decal kind of dude. i would have to assume the decals are good but i dont like the way they look. too much goofy colors
  6. went to a new hobby shop yesterday that i found and i picked up this tamiya and had to buy it. its my first japanese build. so far all i did was clean up some mold lines on the body. they werent too bad and cleaned up pretty easy. i dont really have any plans with it other then i wanna do some sort of drift build since it comes with a nice stripped interior. but since ive never built a jap kit or a drift car ill take my time on this. box art just a mock up to see how the wheels look. im probably gonna lower it but like i said i dont have anything specific planned im just gonna go with the flow. rims it comes with. probably gonna get some new wheels for it. does anybody have any decent pictures of drift skylines? Brandon
  7. thank you. and i agree with you on that. dioramas are mostly interchangable anyway. ive taken out the nova under the tarp and replaced it with the junkyard camaro i built
  8. about a year ago i got a box full of half built models and a butt load of parts from my step dad. this was one that fell apart i put back together to clear up some space on the bench shortly after receiving them. it was never really put together fully. it was missing some engine pieces and i have no idea where the hood went. it pretty much looked like dirt so i decided why not do something with it. i didnt wanna do a rebuild and lately ive been a rust junkie. i tore it apart and went to town weathering this thing.
  9. i have this posted in the diorama section but maybe posting here as well, will get it a bit more coverage. this is the first real diorama i built. i tried my best to make it realistic. enjoy
  10. for the most part this thing is done. i should probably add a few weeds here and there and i have to weather the rims and tires a bit. its probably a bit crowded but i think it turned out nice. this is my first real diorama i made. the last one was real lame and had no thought or effort really put in to it. let me know what you guys think
  11. i have actually printed some things off of that website but the dont offer a big selection. thanks mate ill give that a shot. ive never thought about trying that
  12. does anybody know of a website to print scale signs and posters or a place i can shrink them to scale?
  13. nice blazer man. im not a big fan of flames so i cant wait for the new paint job. did you make that blazer body or is a resin cast from someone else?
  14. got a few more things done over the past 2 days. i wanna add some trash to the ground and dirty it up but im not to sure what would work for the scale. some greasy pizza boxs and some trash bags? ,aybe some crushed chinese take out boxes. let me know what you guys think
  15. got a bit more done on the car but ive been more focused on the dio. i built the roll cage and threw some random car parts inside. dirtied the engine bay i also found a half built motor in the parts box that i dirtied up and out in it. i think the motor is still to shiny and i still have to add some dirt and grim to the wheels let me know what you guys think so far and also check out how the dio is coming along
  16. well for starters are you looking to lift a 2wd or a 4wd? are you looking to do a 4 link setup?
  17. you can probably find it on hiroboy.com or hlj.com check your local hobby shop. everyone ive been so far has them. i just think they are expensive for what you get. i would find some good reference photos and scratch build it.
  18. thanks everyone. i really wanted an audi motor for a vw or just an a4. welly diecast look like the way to go. and just looked up the quick skins a4. thats pretty much exactly what i was looking for except i wanted a full interior car
  19. im unfamiliar with just about every japanese kit since i never built one. does anyone know if ther is any audi kit with a detailed engine. or if an a4 or s4 kit was made. i know revell of germany did an a4 but it was the race version
  20. im building this for a diorama i started last night. i originally pulled out the body to try some new rust techniques and i ended up liking the way it turned out so i figured what the hell why not put it to use. its gonna be a half built race car with a roll cage and stripped interior. there will be no motor in this. i want it to look as if somebody bought it and started making a race car out of it then gave up and let it sit in the yard to rot away. i painted my own rust then went back and washed it with some pastels. its my first time using pastels.
  21. the model i chose for this was originally supposed to be a test mule for some rust techniques i was trying out. the body turned our half decent so i decided to finish it and build i diorama for it. i chosethe 56 belair. it was an old body i had lying around. the theme is going to be a half built race car in the corner of a yard with parts scattered all around it. the model is about half finished as well as the dio.
  22. hows everyone doin. its been awhile since ive been on here or even at my bench building. finally picked the teg back up a few days ago since i had some time off from work. i did what someone from another forum told me to do with the k series and i got it to fit. until i find my camera charger these are all i got for pictures. i have to put the side mirrors on yet but as far as that its finished. i took a racing seat, the a pillar tachs and the k20 from the rsx type r lip i was very pleased with this kit. its almost the same as the revell civic, IMO it just fits better. ive seen this kit a few times when it first came out but never again after that so i had to jump on buying this one. if i find some more in the future you better believe im gonna grab em
  23. nice hatch man. i already built 2 and i have a teggy on the bench. if you could post up some more pics of the integra that would be sick
  24. could you be a little more specific. when searching this is the only thread to come up
  25. looks great. i like the color. im building the same kit right now but im thinking about swapping a k series in it
