How positively DELIGHTFUL! (with upward inflection) Looks very nice, great job under the hood.

I have a resin hood that came with my Revell Orange Crate kit and it is warped. Not too bad but the bottom needs to be spread apart because it won't fit over the firewall edge and the grille properly. Is it possible to fix it?

My first model show

Sounds like you had a FRIGGIN SWEET experience. I don't go to them much (Not many around my parts) But the few I have been to were tons of fun. Hope you have the same experience at your next! -
I want to see the dead body before I will even come close to believing it...

Detail and final clear on the body, painted chassis and almost finished the engine last night. I just painted the trim with chrome paint because I have been out of BMF for a while. I also used a magneto style distributor because I am out of the standard style. -

I finally dug out the '63 Corvette, hogged out the extra tail lights (Couldn't find my Dremel or new blades so I hacked them out with a dull knife ) but after I shot some paint they look okay. Rather than using the factory wheels I used the 5 spoke mags that came in the kit and I will be building the fuel injected 327 mill for it. Hope to add more detail but my detail supplies are running low again. Color is GM factory 1963 Silver Blue (Jan Berry's Corvette was blue). I also dug out the Jag kit, it has been partially assembled so I will be tearing it apart soon. Quick mock up before detail and clear on body: -
Got some color on the body, working on the hood now.
-
Okay, I got the decals applied, not too happy with them (Being so old, the quality has suffered). I cleared the body and will add finish detail to it as soon as the clear dries (window trim, bumpers etc). Hope it looks as good to you guys as it does to me! Here are some before and after photos...

As Peter Griffin would say, "That is FREAKIN SWEET!"

Got the body stripped, primed and painted. I think the color is a bit bright, I am not sure though because the photo makes it look pink...(bad lighting in my work room). Straightened the chassis out and re-assembled the front and rear axles. Used the old wheels and tires for mock up to make sure the chassis sits level. I will be ordering the correct front wheels from Casey and I am not sure who to get rear tires from, I heard Flashpoint or Comp Resins have good ones.

I think I am just going to rebuild it as it was, have a new set of Revelleader decals, probably going to build it box stock with the details the kit came with. Just to get used to building the bigger stuff.
-
I got this built kit pretty cheap. Total glue bomb and it had been badly broken, I think there are more pieces now than were originally in the kit. Here is what I started with, I have made a little progress with the chassis and will post more photos tomorrow once it is dry. I am waiting for new wheels and possibly new rear tires.

Well I got a little engine work done on the Mustang, mocked up with wheels and tires. I think it is as low as I can go without dragging the oil pan. I thought it needed a little more of a modern look that the factory car in the video. Tomorrow I will dig out the Jag and the Vette and see what I have there. -
Well I didn't get much done this weekend, still tool shopping for school. Initial sanding and filling the body is done, though there is much left to do. I am trying to decide if I want to hack up the chassis and make the torque tube and trans-axle fit the '54 or slice the clutch housing from the LS9 and add a conventional 6 speed. A lot more work than I anticipated but I am definitely liking the idea so far.

Woo, found the Mustang, the Jag AND the Vette, will post pics this weekend! -
I saw the video of this car a while back and I had to build it, I am not really into the late model Vettes but for the sake of this build I bought one. Here is what I am starting with. Hope I will be able to keep up with my progress, usually I forget to take photos and post the progress, or I just put the build away...We'll see!

I appreciate the comments guys, (just realized I didn't paint the radiator cap)

Do it until you get caught...then say it was an accident! -
Mesh is extra stuff I had from a Revell Enzo, wheels are from the Tom Daniel Garbage Truck.
-
Steve, where did you get that resin body? I NEED ONE!! I have a 1:1 '52 that I want to build a "prototype" for.
-
Finally got a little bit of work done on this kit, it might go back in the box for a bit, not sure.
-
The Dorks of Hazzard county won't get away this time. If Rosco P. Coltrane and Enos Strate couldn't catch the "Duke boys" before, they can now! (With a little driving instruction) I did what I could with this turd of a kit (IMO) and what supplies I had, supplies are running short and with all my cash getting dumped into tools for school I have none to spare for the hobby at the moment. So here it is! As always, comments and criticisms are welcome!

ACK! Seeing you guys getting started is driving me crazy, I can't find my Mustang yet, might not get started on it for another month or so... Hey Jim, I can get started on the Jag and the Stingray if you are willing to add them to my build entries.
