  1. This is all awesome information guys THANKS!!
  2. Used to be Terry, gave it up for drag racing but haven't been able to finish my car for the past few years... Chris, that would be wonderful, thank you!
  3. Can't seem to find much as far as reference photos, I want to know what colors certain F/C chassis were painted and possibly which wheels were used on each. I am building some 1/16 kits: Whipple & McCulloch blue Revellution Demon Ed McCulloch red Revellution Duster Mickey Thompson red Revelleader Grand Am Mickey Thompson blue US Marines Grand Am Ron Colson silver Chi-town Hustler Gene Snow red Snowman Roland Leong blue Revell Hawaiian Thanks in advance! Sam
  4. Some how I did miss that, which is fine, I already had plans for all these cars anyway. And yes, I know the "Hooptie" is a 69, I mistyped... No worries!
  5. "Can anyone confirm for me?" Yup, mid 80's Toyota body, that is about it, the rest is full size American pickup components. Maybe an AMT 84 GMC pickup kit for the axles and tires?
  6. Okay I am in, sounds like a fun CBP Put me in for: "Black Sunshine" 1965 Mustang convertible (White Zombie) I figure I can get it done buy the end of the year...
  7. Absolutely beautiful!
  8. Well, considering the current state of Japanese economy, I doubt it will happen...

Very cool Doug, I love the colors!
  10. Thanks for the compliments guy! I am not sure what the deal is with the rear tires, they came in the sealed kit, a friend of mine has several of these kits and said he had to buy resin tubs that were made to fit the kit tires...wtf?
  11. Well, I finally finished this kit, almost box stock. Things I did and added: The tires supplied for the rear were far too wide and the rims slipped right through, I cut about 1/8 inch of rubber from the center if the tread to make them fit under the fenders. Added scoop and air filters from AMT 66 Nova Pro Street kit Velocity stacks from parts box Tail lights from Revell 60 Impala Photo etched grille from Revell Willys gasser kit Hope you like it and let me know what you think!
  12. Got a few decals on, cleaned up the paint lines a bit... May add a couple more decals not sure yet.
  13. Well, this is the first chance I get to really use my new camera, flash won't work for some reason but this is as far as I have gone with this build so far. Got the body painted in Go Mango/Sublime lacquer Wheels are from a Polar Lights F/C kit, tires are from this kit Hoping to get more done in the next few days. Let me know what you think.
  14. Sorry accidentally started 2 topics for the same project...please see the above topic. Thanks!
  15. Super cool build, but IMO the wheels have got to go, I would go with some wires from a donk kit, (much larger diameter) so they fill the fender/wheel well. Otherwise it looks awesome!
  16. Awesome, I can't wait tom meet them!
  17. At some point someone will have to fill me in on who these people are, but I plan on flying in on the 25th, and some time before I fly out I will have to get a map from you guys of the swap meet so I know who to see first! Sam
  18. Well I don't have much done yet but I got started on it. I made steel plates for the windshield and a front bumper/human guard from 1/8" styrene rod and 5/16" channel. I am going for the "quick, get the shields on, and get the slots cut so we can start shooting" look, none of the window slots will be straight, nothing shiny.
  19. LOL, yeah it is a TERRIBLE camera, I am going to buy a new one in another month or so. Everything you see is red except the Bad Medicine...
  20. That is a sweet looking 57, amazing job, but how did you make that photo changing deally?
  21. Yeah, I am "technically" a full time student but I am only taking three non program classes this quarter so I have quite a bit of free time, not much homework for the classes...
  22. While there are about ten more builds from last year I didn't post yet, I thought I would just leave a link to the rest of my photos on photobucket. Now to start off the new year, I finished the 64 GTO that has been laying on the bench for quite some time at various stages over the last 6 months. I acquired the Edsel at my clubs Christmas party gift exchange (believe me, I wasn't too happy that my daughter traded the 69 Baldwin Motion Camaro for it while I wasn't looking) But I make the best of it. http://s1213.photobucket.com/home/amber_74_camaro The Monogram 64 GTO: Painted in Testors lacquer GTS Blue pearl (wheels have gold centers) Added plug wires, throttle cable, heater hoses, vacuum line to brake booster, and fuel line Interior was just a rush job to get it off the bench but I think I will pop it apart and put some time into it later, and of course I stuff a tiger in the trunk... The AMT 58 Pacer: I knew I couldn't build this car stock, and the more I looked at the box, the uglier the car got. Painted with Go Mango base, Roadstar orange pearl over coat Dropped a 427 Cobra in with plug wires and fuel line. Also added power brake booster, didn't have room for much more detail. Wheels are from the Fireball 500 kit (sliced off the front lip and added back wheel half to front for the wide rears) Shifter from Bad News, tires and steering wheel from parts box, dual exhaust dumped in front of rear axle Flipped front spindles to lower front end, interior is two tone tan with orange and white accents
