  1. YES!!! I'm about to start this project. Thanks for the photos. I'm planning to do it using 1:25 Revell's model. Should I use Tamiya 1:24? There is an old beetle Hebmuller version in resin. Master by Tim Wizard Rear pics???? No.... Andy, very nice work! Congratulations!
  2. I think that Lindberg’s ’61 Impala model kit is a very nice one. Despite to be the only one of this year/model, it seems to me better than almost all AMT’s and Revell’s Chevy Impalas. Tell me something: is it truth that some edition back in the days was made with a little error between the hood and windshield? I listened that some were very straight opposite to the original curvature. Is that true? That’s my ’61 convertible. Totally stock. I have changed the lowrider hubcaps with original ones from ’61 Impala HT and opened the truck…
  3. Hi Andrew. Thanks for the tip... I already did that!!! But unfortunately the images from the DVD when paused are not very clear. To watch the episode is excellent therefore provides a better understanding of the modifications that I will have to make, but I still with no great photos of focal points. Anyway, thanks for the help! My asking still up guys… please!!!
  4. Hi Fernado. As I said, I did already a lot of research on the internet. The Rad Rides was the very first website visited… All others related websites that search engines like Google could find was visited and pics was downloaded. That´s why I´m asking for particular photos that maybe are on private internet photo library, you know… But thanks anyway. I appreciated that!
  5. I always do a lot of research on internet to get good pics from my desired cars or intended model car projects. These last days I past a few hours seeking for pics from '67 Mustang built by Troy Trepanier . That was a car built to eBay to promote its site. Well, I'm also intended to build this...1:25 of course. I could obtain some good photos but not sufficient as I wish. I'm from Brazil and you guys over there have the opportunity to participate of hot rods events such as GoodGuys, So-Cal, etc that obviously I cant. So, if perhaps somebody have participated some of these events and saw this car and eventually took photos of it, could you please send these photos to my e-mail? ataschner@uol.com.br Thanks in advance and kindest regards. I promise post WIP as soon I start this project!
  6. Here, some models...
  7. #2 Carlos Alberto, also a good modeler, runs a home company called Don Model Cars that also offers resin models. He started with Jo-han modified Maverick. He did a nice job transforming the original issue from Jo-Han into a Brazilian Ford Version. Here, some models from 3 diferent modelers... ...and he is about to launch the Eleanor transkit...
  8. more... Other great resin model from Ricardo Tropia '58 Chevrolet Brasil (our 3100)
  9. Hi folks... I'm proud to place this post. This was the very first event organized for my friends from the state of Minas Gerais and carried through in the historical city of Ouro Preto. Some nice info: #1 Ricardo Tropia is a very good modeler and in this event, he took advantage of an opportunity to launch two resin models of genuinely Brazilian cars. '67 Puma GT Racing version
  10. Hi Bill... It’s true... good eyes! it’s because the putty I used is not a good one… that motherf*** retracted a lot… unfortunately, this project is in standby…I’m working in others projects right now.. but this on specifically is one of my favorites… Besides crewcab modification, I’m also intend to create ’99 Escalade front grille in order to replace the stock grille and lights and change the original interior to a ’64 Impala complete interior… That's my inspiration: grimreaper As I said, this project and much others are in stand by.. I’m about to be a father… my son will born next month and all my attentions are pointed to him and my wife… Sorry not help you right now… I’m intend to make copies of this body, but without certain date yet… If you can wait.. good… But I prefer you try it… seems difficult but it’s not! Follow this simples steps and you will get a nice crewcab from your own hands!!
  11. Well, i guess the best option is to use 2 kits to get crewcab That's how I did... First, you must have all 1:1 car measures to start planning where to cut both bodies... Then, cut the bodies with a nice little saw and if possible, also use a square. After that, all you have to do is glue together both sides of the bodies and lock it with good clamps. That's a very important thing, because a good clamp (large enough) will make the sides align and avoid extra putty/sanding work. Make sure the both kits are in very well condition… I mean, nothing harm, curved, etc. I jumped this step and have to fill with putty… my bad! (see photo #1) That's what I did and there's the result so far….
  12. Hum.... could be... But isn't too large for that????
  13. Hi guys... its me again.. Could anybody please guess what is this component???? Would be a oil tank or what?
  14. Hi Ariel!!! I'm the Small Dreams administrator. It's good to have you around there... thanks for sharing info about models and related stuff. This Merc is amazing!!!! As soon this world's financial crisis pass away, I'll buy it for sure! (1 dolar = 2,20 reais)!!!!!!! Let's keep making contact! 16. Hi guys.. Is Andrews from RMR Resins a member of this forum? Does anybody here knows Andrews or his castings? That’s the website: http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm I’m trying to contact him but with no success. Could anybody please tell me a little bit more about his products and/or your experience on deal with him? Tks. Regards.
  17. Man, thank you for sharing us your technique!!!! Amazing work!
  18. Dahmmmmmmm!!!!!! That's I'm talking about!!!! Thank you thank you Ryan!!! Just a question: I observed that in some configurations, carburetor does not exist…. is it that right? By the way…. Your models are outstanding!!!! Congratulations!
  19. Hi Plastikfreek. Thank you for your comments. In fact, I really don't know exactly the differences between Pro street and pro stock. But at this point, this is not the major point for me… That's the car that I intend to replicate: I really dont know if its a Pro Street or Pro Stock... in my mine, is a Pro Street... as you said... But, the question is… besides these differences, what I really need is to understand what, where and how to build a truly big mill…. With all mechanical components that drag racing cars have… in other words, I need to know all wiring and plumbing for this kind of engine. And unhappily I did not find any diagrams / photos that could give me a real idea how to build it. That's is the point... So, I still looking for some help…. Anybody else? Please?
  20. I totally agree.. and I do the same!
  21. Friends, I like to build models in some subjects such as Lowriders, Hot Rods, Kustoms, muscles. But now I intend to build a Pro Street. I was looking for the Internet for some draw that could explain where to connect each components, what binds with what an so on. But without success. Somebody please could help me with some clear and easy schema.. draw...anything!!! Some like this will help a lot!!! I made it... it's a basic schema to get a V8 wired and plumbed. It is in Portuguese, but speeches by itself! I know the components are different from a "common" Street V8.. after all, a Pro Street its made to get fast very fast….so, its obvious that more power and durability are needed! What are those wires coming up from injector scoop's side???? Which are the changes in meaning of mechanical components, wiring, plumbing… An oil sump exits in both schemas, but are they equal (format e position)? No/Yes? I don't know… so.. tips like this... that would help to not miss anything or make critical mistakes are welcome!!! Thanks in advance guys! (sorry for the possible grammatical mistakes)
  22. Dear friends... First of all, thanks for the help!!! Carrucha thanks for the phone, but since Ray is no longer selling resin kits from his home (as mentioned) I'll not boring him with my wish... but thanks anyway George, thanks for the explanation! Mr.Obsessive, I’m sorry to know that Ray is with health problems… I hope he get better very soon. Well, Sniper it’s a pretty unusual subject for sure, but I’m huge fan of Troy’s and Foose’s cars!!! And this car in specific, was design by Foose and constructed by Troy… so 2 for the price of 1.. got it? And about “miteymouseâ€, other sellers, ebay, this stuff… I’m always checking it. Thanks a lot for the tip!!! I appreciated! Steve, you are the man!!!! Always helping me! Well, after that, I guess there is nothing else to do… besides….. TO WAIT! ... All VIP was already engaged!!!! So… I would like to thanks all you guys!!! Very very much! Steve, please, any news don't forget to notice me!!!
