  1. Hi Plastikfreek. Thank you for your comments. In fact, I really don't know exactly the differences between Pro street and pro stock. But at this point, this is not the major point for me… That's the car that I intend to replicate: I really dont know if its a Pro Street or Pro Stock... in my mine, is a Pro Street... as you said... But, the question is… besides these differences, what I really need is to understand what, where and how to build a truly big mill…. With all mechanical components that drag racing cars have… in other words, I need to know all wiring and plumbing for this kind of engine. And unhappily I did not find any diagrams / photos that could give me a real idea how to build it. That's is the point... So, I still looking for some help…. Anybody else? Please?
  2. I totally agree.. and I do the same!
  3. Friends, I like to build models in some subjects such as Lowriders, Hot Rods, Kustoms, muscles. But now I intend to build a Pro Street. I was looking for the Internet for some draw that could explain where to connect each components, what binds with what an so on. But without success. Somebody please could help me with some clear and easy schema.. draw...anything!!! Some like this will help a lot!!! I made it... it's a basic schema to get a V8 wired and plumbed. It is in Portuguese, but speeches by itself! I know the components are different from a "common" Street V8.. after all, a Pro Street its made to get fast very fast….so, its obvious that more power and durability are needed! What are those wires coming up from injector scoop's side???? Which are the changes in meaning of mechanical components, wiring, plumbing… An oil sump exits in both schemas, but are they equal (format e position)? No/Yes? I don't know… so.. tips like this... that would help to not miss anything or make critical mistakes are welcome!!! Thanks in advance guys! (sorry for the possible grammatical mistakes)
  4. Dear friends... First of all, thanks for the help!!! Carrucha thanks for the phone, but since Ray is no longer selling resin kits from his home (as mentioned) I'll not boring him with my wish... but thanks anyway George, thanks for the explanation! Mr.Obsessive, I’m sorry to know that Ray is with health problems… I hope he get better very soon. Well, Sniper it’s a pretty unusual subject for sure, but I’m huge fan of Troy’s and Foose’s cars!!! And this car in specific, was design by Foose and constructed by Troy… so 2 for the price of 1.. got it? And about “miteymouseâ€, other sellers, ebay, this stuff… I’m always checking it. Thanks a lot for the tip!!! I appreciated! Steve, you are the man!!!! Always helping me! Well, after that, I guess there is nothing else to do… besides….. TO WAIT! ... All VIP was already engaged!!!! So… I would like to thanks all you guys!!! Very very much! Steve, please, any news don't forget to notice me!!!
  5. Nobody?????? Does anybody knows some e-mail to make contact directly with R&R Resin??? Who runs R&R Resin? Is he member of MCM Fórum? Tks.
  6. Hi people! I'm looking for Sniper model from R&R Resin. I already made contact with Steve (Star Models) but unhappily he doesn't have the model. I already tried e-bay, but with no success. So, if somebody have it (or knows who has) and desires to negotiate, I'm interested. Thanks!
  7. Hi guys.... I have two doubts about the car paintings schema: 1) How to paint a '50-'70 car underneath? I saw models that in middle of the tunel the color is gray and others painted with all same color. Which is the correct one? Which decade each technique is applied? Why (in the first option) is the gray color? 2) Somebody knows the name of the manufacturer and its codes of the red and blue colors of So-Cal Speed Shop? (I intend to make the 34 Ford Coupe that ran in the salt lakes) Thanks in advance (and sorry fot the possible grammatical mistakes )
  8. Tom, I don’t know anyone in USA that is casting these ones. The parts that you saw, probably were of a Brazilian friend of mine called Flávio. That´s the web site: http://www.minitunning.com/ I´m not sure, but I think he ships worldwide!
  9. Hi Marcel. The wheels came from an Italeri old truck kit. Try to seek some built kit as a donor at e-bay or perhaps with some friend!
  10. Model Car World has '62 Impala HT 2 door.... could be a good start for you project! http://ourworld-top.cs.com/mcwautofinishes.../resinlist.html
  11. Sorry to hear Ron Cash has passed away. That's exactly what I did... This project still need an interior (it will be from a ’64 Impala) and an engine (probably a LT5/ZR1 Corvette)
  12. Marco, let me ask you: was this kit that you used? Revell #2877 ...or this one? Revell #2038 Tks!
  13. Cruz, outstanding job! As an Impala True lover, i must say... this car is unique!!!! Congratulations! Let me ask you... where did you found these hubcaps? Which kit comes with it?
  14. 1st: Hi guys. Thank you all for the comments. Obrigado Ismael! 2nd: To be compared with Bill Geary is a honor. Tks Enzo and Marco Cruz, but I guess I still have a long way to get there! Bill, thanks for your time here! I appreciated a lot. The putty is from PPG: P242 Beige: I’m testing it. It was my first work with it. To be honest, this putty is nice, but it’s needed to apply very slowly, otherwise, a lot of air bubble will soak the area. Again, thanks a lot. I hope get back on this project very soon…Right now, I’m working on a “greatâ€AMT: General Lee -huf!- (and all corrections that must be done aswell).
  15. Hi Guys. Unfortunately, I have no time enough as I wish to describe all photos. I hope they are self explication. I’m a big fan of Foose’s projects. So, I decided to star this one: Butterscorched The kits used for this project: Cut & glue front sides: Front grafting (using a small piece of pen) Body work GMC hood conversion: Color test: Base layer and final layer Chassi work Firewall work Truck’s inside fenders work The real one: and...(sorry for the advertising) The material wasn't strong enough. So, I decided to copy and cast in resin. And for me, the coolest work so far: THE WHEELS! The correct model is the NITROUS II: A friend of mine made the exactly Foose’s Nitrous wheel model using CAD software. Then, a specialized company made it in 1:25 scale using prototyping process. Matter of fact, I asked him to design the NITROUS CHROME, because in this case, I’ll get two different wheels with only a few fulfill job in that holes. So, that is the model that was designed: Here, the process: Of course, still need sand & refine work on this, but isn’t cool or what???? I hope you guys like it… this project is running at baby steps. But, I promise update as soon as possible. Please, please, suggestions and comments are very welcome!!!

  19. Hi guys! I’m about to start a very nice project: a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood. But first, I must ask for help… Is it Chevy Caprice (Yellow Cab/Chief Department) the most appropriated kit for this project? And if yes, which is the most important things to pay attention? What are the modifications that I’ll have to do? Thanks in advance!
  20. Man.... what nice clean PIMP Impala!!!! Outstandind work! Nice job! I loved it!

  24. I was thinking about how many segments/subjects involving cars and its lifestyles around exist (hot, customs, lowriders, etc). These I know the history. However, when the subject is competition, one of them I have a big doubt is the Drag competition. Somebody please could explain me the basics and differences between: ProStreet; ProModified; Modified FunnyCar; Gasser (This is the one that I have more unfamiliarity) and any others…. Plus: which period each one was born? Could you pelase indicate some websites for research? Thanks in advance people!
