  1. I´m a fan of Foose´s design but Troy as well… I´m building the ´52 Chevy Butterscorched from Overhaulin´ TV Show. I´m also intended to do this black F-100… let me finish the Chevy first…. Harry, what about the Eleanor??? Sniper?
  2. Hi people… Does anybody here knows this kit??? Is it good? Is it made all plastic? Is there any metal parts, PEs, decals? Any comments are welcome.
  3. A friend of mine runs a small company called DomModelCar. It's a pretty new company and its focus is the Brazilian cars. Unfortunately we did not have great muscles cars in the past like the American people. More precisely, 4 models have made success in the 70's: Ford Galaxie, Ford Maverick, Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Opala (yes, with “Oâ€). This last is a Brazilian version of the Opel Rekord C. Anyway, DomModelCar have started its business with Brazilian Ford Maverick, which also have some differences comparing to the American version (and so with JoHan kit) For years, we (Brazilian modelers) had to modify the JoHan´s kit to get our Maverick version. But not anymore. So, if you guys really wants this model, there is already a resin caster that made it. RJ, please don't take my post as a trouble. I´m a kind of guy that really support all initiatives. If you already started working on it, I say keep the good work. There is space for everyone!!! That´s the DomModelCar´s webpage: http://www.dommodelcar.com/ The option "FOTOS" means pictures of some projects & built models. Hi folks. That’s my actual project: a ’34 Ford chopped & channeled This is my inspiration: I’ll try to replicate it the closest as I can. #1# Roof smoothed and top chopped
  9. Simple cover the hood with masking tape. Cut off the excess then place the mask in the back of the CF sheet. You can drawn the format with a pencil or can direct cut using a x-acto or a scissor.
  10. Does anybody know anything about this new kit? Any store out there selling already?
  11. Would be nice if those big guys from Hollywood made more films with cars as maim subject? I mean,,, there is a great movies with car related, but comparing to total movies launched every year is insignificant…Transformers last year was good but a little “over†to me (read it as “bring more moneyâ€! Hollywood’s Rules!) And even these ones more recently, in my opinion, all sucks! Lets face it… Fast & Furious for example: it’s about to start the 4th sequence with basic the same tuning subject…Man… why not make something really interesting around Hotrods??? The last title (good one) I remember is American Graffiti….Or something like LeMans??? Please… more gasoline, more speed, more mils… less CG effects…less ridiculous scripts…
  12. That´s an excellent transkit!!!! It´s worth each cent! Take a look at these WIPs http://www.small-dreams.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=8298 http://www.small-dreams.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=7725
  13. YES!!! I'm about to start this project. Thanks for the photos. I'm planning to do it using 1:25 Revell's model. Should I use Tamiya 1:24? There is an old beetle Hebmuller version in resin. Master by Tim Wizard Rear pics???? No.... Andy, very nice work! Congratulations!
  14. I think that Lindberg’s ’61 Impala model kit is a very nice one. Despite to be the only one of this year/model, it seems to me better than almost all AMT’s and Revell’s Chevy Impalas. Tell me something: is it truth that some edition back in the days was made with a little error between the hood and windshield? I listened that some were very straight opposite to the original curvature. Is that true? That’s my ’61 convertible. Totally stock. I have changed the lowrider hubcaps with original ones from ’61 Impala HT and opened the truck…
  15. Hi Andrew. Thanks for the tip... I already did that!!! But unfortunately the images from the DVD when paused are not very clear. To watch the episode is excellent therefore provides a better understanding of the modifications that I will have to make, but I still with no great photos of focal points. Anyway, thanks for the help! My asking still up guys… please!!!
  16. Hi Fernado. As I said, I did already a lot of research on the internet. The Rad Rides was the very first website visited… All others related websites that search engines like Google could find was visited and pics was downloaded. That´s why I´m asking for particular photos that maybe are on private internet photo library, you know… But thanks anyway. I appreciated that!
  17. I always do a lot of research on internet to get good pics from my desired cars or intended model car projects. These last days I past a few hours seeking for pics from '67 Mustang built by Troy Trepanier . That was a car built to eBay to promote its site. Well, I'm also intended to build this...1:25 of course. I could obtain some good photos but not sufficient as I wish. I'm from Brazil and you guys over there have the opportunity to participate of hot rods events such as GoodGuys, So-Cal, etc that obviously I cant. So, if perhaps somebody have participated some of these events and saw this car and eventually took photos of it, could you please send these photos to my e-mail? ataschner@uol.com.br Thanks in advance and kindest regards. I promise post WIP as soon I start this project!
  18. #2 Carlos Alberto, also a good modeler, runs a home company called Don Model Cars that also offers resin models. He started with Jo-han modified Maverick. He did a nice job transforming the original issue from Jo-Han into a Brazilian Ford Version. Here, some models from 3 diferent modelers... ...and he is about to launch the Eleanor transkit...
  19. more... Other great resin model from Ricardo Tropia '58 Chevrolet Brasil (our 3100)
  20. Hi folks... I'm proud to place this post. This was the very first event organized for my friends from the state of Minas Gerais and carried through in the historical city of Ouro Preto. Some nice info: #1 Ricardo Tropia is a very good modeler and in this event, he took advantage of an opportunity to launch two resin models of genuinely Brazilian cars. '67 Puma GT Racing version
