Just one...The left one, was dedicated to Kart´s shop-school driving and is a very popular Chevrolet truck from the 70s until 90s. The right one was dedicated to the main Hollywood Racing Team and this one is a Ford truck. On foreground, the Hollywood Chevrolet Opala 4.100cc (6 cil in line) Brazil nowadays suffers with a huge lack of information from the past. There was no concern with the historical record at that time. Shame on them :-(

Hi guys. Allow me introduce you to this authentic Brazilian racer! Yes, this is 70´s Ford Maverick from Ford Brazil. He ran in the former category "Division 3" of Brazilian auto racing. There was then a great Brazilian racing team that worked on several categories of racing with several types of cars (and motorcycles). The main sponsorship was "Hollywood" cigarette (tobaco industry… no news…). The most famous car at that time was a Chevrolet Opala (derived from the Opel Reckord). This Opala has won all the championships they participated. Finding no more competitors in Brazil, the team decided to venture into other championships and one was from Argentina. However, early on the Chevrolet Opala did not achieve good results, the team decided to acquire and prepare a Ford Maverick. They took the car to Argentina and there hired a well-known mechanic called Orestes Berta This car was super prepared for that time. Was so popular that soon it was called Berta-Hollywood Maverick, with V8 302 600hp and four 48IDA Weber carburetors. The Maverick-Berta ran for only two years, in the hands of Tite Catapani in 74, and Luiz Pereira Bueno in the following year. In his brief resume, evidence gained great importance as the Interlagos 500KM - with a lead of eight laps over the second place, the best of them in an average of almost 200 km/h (124 mph). Through the processes of exchange of owners over the decades, the mythical lost engine, which was replaced by a 351 Windsor. Currently, he belongs to the private collection of Paul Trevisan, and was fully restored.

After so much time... I decided to work a little more on this car... Here, preparing the holes that will receive machined rims in the future. As I´am working in the art of many photo etched for my other projects, I take oportunity of it and draw PE for this project as well.

I Loved the paint schema... those small stripes should be given a headache, hum? Very nice! -
You are a great modeler Cruz. Congrats! Very nice model!!!

This is a nice model! It seems very clean and aligned model. My only criticism is based on a real car. I dont think those wheels will work properly. I like to build models so close as a real one I can.I think if the front wheels were smaller the entire set would be better. Even the rear I think is a little oversized for me... But this is me... If you had fun with this building, this is what matters at all!!! Congrats!

I totally agree with you Cliffo!!!

Dr. Cranky, I can´t see it get paint done too... but these modifications doesn´t help me kkkk. Thanks. Cliffo, my brother... I´m too slow because Boss... he always ask me to change this.. change that kkkk It´s him fault! spkgibson, WOW!!!! thanks a lot for the words... this really inspires... Rick, John, Rob and all of you guys...Yours words make me happier and more committed to the project. Really really thanks.!! _________________________ Christmas´s update: Unfortunately it happened what I was afraid ... the entire front modification resulted in a hood fitting problem and alignment of the headlights did not matched as well. Big Lens and a huge gap So, extra help from my fella styrene Test to check the fitment and little work on the front grid These extra little styrene pieces over the lens took the hood fitment to a wrong place. So I had to sand a little more in the front and the result was this. Now I have to replace with epoxy putty. Stay tune for more updates. Thanks for looking.

Painting, polishing, wheels, lowering ... everything in this car is amazing. Sincere congratulations. The spinners gave a retro style but at the same time, the design of the wheel plus a larger rear rims have transmitted an aggressive stance! I liked it a lot! Congrats bro... you are a great modeler and a great bro!
