Porsche Transporter
Drago replied to Drago's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
Thanks Matt for your info. I´m starting to believe this Ford transporter truck has never existed. It is very odd that a search on google did not bring any information besides this Entex model and a miniature from Exoto (which is very different) I´m intended to contact Exoto asking about its model. Any chances to get a truly answer? I mean…if they made a model based on a hypothetic version, will they say “yes, we made a model that does not exist” ??? LOL It´s hard do believe on this.... In another hand, if this truck has a 1:1 counterparty, maybe Exoto could help a lot if they have some research material and be able to share if us. But again, I'm tending to believe that the only trucks that Porsche have used as racing support were from Mercedes Benz (very strange, considering that they were from one of your most rival brands, isn´t it?). LOL -
Hello guys. I found this 1/32 kit and was wondering if this truck has already been produced for real. I tried Google but without success. Does anybody know about it or have good pictures of it? Or maybe it was just a phantom model that this plastic company has decided to launch at that time? Any thoughts are welcome.

Pro Touring 70 1/2 Camaro *First post here*
Drago replied to ll Brandon ll's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I agree. And by considering this, I think you should consider decrease the width of the front wheels as well. Congrats for the build. Very nice so far! -
I believe that only Hobby Design models could help you. I´m working on a VW's project: one MKII Golf GTI and another MKV Golf GTI, both will use BBS wheels, but the first one will go with 18" and the seconde one will go with 19". Same model for both! The only bad thing about it is that they dont come with tires. This is the 19" on the MKV with Pegasus tires: Another thing to mention is that they are not so good. Poor quality in terms of casting. Flash and mold lines.

Hi guys... I´m going to use the AMT '32 Ford Coupe kit. As you may know, the kit is no fully correct in some parts... Where (aftermarket resin companies or even in another donnor kits) I can find the correct items to replicate Milner´s '32 Ford Coupe from the movie? I´m meaning: - Wheels & Tires (original ones with with E-78 series tires?) - Man-A-Fre intake manifold, a quartet of Rochester 2G two-barrel carbs, and no name valve cover Thanks again people!

Guys, I would like to know from the experts here, what is the difference between the resin bodies from Jimmy Flintstone '59 Ford Country Sedan Wagon #125 and R&R 1959 FORD 2 DR. WAGON in terms of quality and accuracy. Ok, the R&R comes complete and cost around 48 bucks. In another hand, we get JF´s body only, but the price is $19. Considering I will need a Revell '59 Galaxie as donnor, what do you suggest me? That´s the project: Thanks fellas!

I´m intended to build F-32, by Foose and for this project, I bought the V12 engine from Replicas & Miniatures Company of Maryland (as a matter of fact, it is from Rich´s Resin). 12 bucks, worth every penny! Call Norm... he is an excelent guy and it´s always nice to do business with him! (replmincomd@aol.com)

1/25 BJ & the Bear WIP update 1st Oct 2012
Drago replied to Yahshu's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I'm going to follow this topic for sure!!! -
I also have this transkit resin and my intention is to replicate the real car. I would suggest you make the chassis by scratchbuilding it, but reading your message, I would say trust on the "father of the child" and use the '53 Ford. Unlike everyone, I love this car. I just do not like the black cover inside the wheels.

Espo, U R wellcome! Junkman... it is so truth BTW, we also have our "carretera", but it is called "Stock Car".

Just one...The left one, was dedicated to Kart´s shop-school driving and is a very popular Chevrolet truck from the 70s until 90s. The right one was dedicated to the main Hollywood Racing Team and this one is a Ford truck. On foreground, the Hollywood Chevrolet Opala 4.100cc (6 cil in line) Brazil nowadays suffers with a huge lack of information from the past. There was no concern with the historical record at that time. Shame on them :-(

Hi guys. Allow me introduce you to this authentic Brazilian racer! Yes, this is 70´s Ford Maverick from Ford Brazil. He ran in the former category "Division 3" of Brazilian auto racing. There was then a great Brazilian racing team that worked on several categories of racing with several types of cars (and motorcycles). The main sponsorship was "Hollywood" cigarette (tobaco industry… no news…). The most famous car at that time was a Chevrolet Opala (derived from the Opel Reckord). This Opala has won all the championships they participated. Finding no more competitors in Brazil, the team decided to venture into other championships and one was from Argentina. However, early on the Chevrolet Opala did not achieve good results, the team decided to acquire and prepare a Ford Maverick. They took the car to Argentina and there hired a well-known mechanic called Orestes Berta This car was super prepared for that time. Was so popular that soon it was called Berta-Hollywood Maverick, with V8 302 600hp and four 48IDA Weber carburetors. The Maverick-Berta ran for only two years, in the hands of Tite Catapani in 74, and Luiz Pereira Bueno in the following year. In his brief resume, evidence gained great importance as the Interlagos 500KM - with a lead of eight laps over the second place, the best of them in an average of almost 200 km/h (124 mph). Through the processes of exchange of owners over the decades, the mythical lost engine, which was replaced by a 351 Windsor. Currently, he belongs to the private collection of Paul Trevisan, and was fully restored.
