Help with next project: gotta find these seats....
Drago replied to Drago's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You guys Rock!!!! As soon I read the tips from you, I was running open the boxes and got delighted to see both seat models. In fact, the seat from 49 Merc is closer than 49 Ford and with minor changes I can achieve the exact seat! I have started to work on it and I´ll put the pictures here very soon! Again, thank you for your help and quickly reply. -
IS YOUR COUNTRY REPRESENTED IN THIS HOBBY?
Drago replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Oh YES!!! My name is Alexandre Taschner... despite the German lastname, I´m Brazilian and I´m pretty sure you guys are familiar with some great models and modelers that are used to show their works around here. In Brazil, all subjects (military, aviation, ships, sci-fi, cars and figures) are very well covered. But speaking specifically about cars, I have the pleasure (and is a great honor and pride) to announce that the Forum SMALL DREAMS is the first forum 100% dedicated to cars (like MCG) in Brazil (and perhaps in Latin America, as far as I am aware). It was founded in 2006 and since then we have provide help and fun time for hundreds of modelers around the country. I am one of the founders and current administrator. But I must mention two other friends who help me to run the forum: Cesar Bossolani (which is also user here) and Kurt Schuman. This is our link: www.small-dreams.com/forum You all guys are invited and wellcome. As a matter of fact, some of the friends here already are posting over there... ;-) We have a great number of foreign modelers showing their models too. The language it is not a problem. We have no issue on use english as second language... SO, COME ON!!! -

Hi Casey, tks for the links... I already saw the RacingIcon restoration page but over there, just a paint name "Medium metallic blue" and unfortunately this doesnt help so much ... On the MCM link, Ron Hamilton mencioned "1960 Cadillac Pellham Blue".. I will try to find out more about this color at my auto-paint local shop. G Holding I appreciate your help... Could you please share the links? Tks a lot! Ok, this is the photo where we can see the chrome object which I dont know... And here, the interesting tubes schema... Any thoughts?

I´m trying to submit two pictures, but with no success...

Hello everybody I would apreciate some help from experts!!! 1) What are the chrome objects hanging on the door? ) What are the four black tubes? Cooling System? Where does each of them goes? (ok, we can see in the picture that two tubes goes to each valver cover.... but what about the other two??? 3) What is the manufacturer (PPG, Dupont) and its paint code for the correct blue for this car? Hi Andrew Just like a prank KKKK ... you got yourself!!! We have almost the same projects, but in opposite ways... I started with the L88 but left it aside and now I'm with GS # 004.. and searching on the internet I founded your topic. By the way... I did the same work you did on the chassi. Well, I would like to take oportunity of the topic and ask for help... 1) Do you have photos of the chassi, body, engine, etc??? I already did some Google searcing and the best I found was this: http://www.racingicons.com/gs/004/004-01.htm and probably you already know it. If so, I can send you my e-mail by PM. 2) I would like to contact Harold at Historic Miniatures to purchase a set of wheels and tires in order to make the correct spare. Could you please send me his email or website? Or would you be interested in selling me a set of one wheel and one tire to replicate the spare? (If there is one more left over, of course) Thanks and congrats for this project.. If I can ask.. please dont stop it!!!

Thanks a lot for the review. Great pictures.... I was wondering when the Scale Auto would make available for sale the plastic body only (instead complete version, with chassi) May I ask you what is the name of the local shop you bought? They run any websotre? As I live in Brazil, I would like to try an overseas purchase...

Is it from Modelhaus? -
Sorry, I meant "better wire wheels" instead "spoke wheels". My mistake (I´m from Brazil so, sometimes I'm fooled by translating problems)
-
Is there someone from Pegasus reading this thread??? Please, please.. these wheels must be on market as soon as possible. It is beatiful!
-
Very, very well done! Super congrats. I loved it! I think this beaty deserves a better spoked wheel set instead of the original ones provided by AMT. But this not affect your model at all!
