Cool, those mods you made to the suspension etc really make the car look like it should, low and fat!

Nice one, Thor! Really tidy build all around, love it!

Sweet, I was never a fan of those Pegasus Iroc wheels..... until you sleeved them!! A bit of extra depth made all the difference, now they look unreal! Well done!
-
Thumbs up! Love the deep dish rear wheels, awesome...
-
That looks tough as nails! Excellent work!
-
Nice! That's on the to do list....

Came out great! Agree with the grille, that detailer did a great job!
-
Awesome job! A mate of mine was telling me about the movie, better check it out!

I prefer lacquer, dries faster than enamel. You can't go wrong with Tamiya sprays, they are really easy to work with. Don't get me wrong, I've had great results with the Testors 2 stage, but the price is a consideration as you need 2 cans (colour & clear) to do the job.

I like! Nice to see a deuce that looks like it would go round corners!
-
Sweet, awesome all round! Diggin the wheel and tyre combo too, spot on!

Hi George, Correct, you can only use the mask once, the process of peeling the mask of after painting, destroys the masking film. It will stretch and tear when removing it. For example, if you wanted to flame 2 cars you'll need 2 masks. Hope this helped Chris

Great work Doc, you're on the way to convincing me to never do a shiny paintjob again!

Excellent, steelies look the goods. I've had one of these in the stash for some time, awaiting this same paintjob and a Mod Top. One day....

Love these early GTRs and you really nailed it, looks hot! Well done. Dig the oil cooler setup too, it's the business...

I hadn't noticed that you snuck this one in! This thing is awesome, if only you guys could see it in the flesh (plastic??) It really is a tidy piece of work. My favorite part.... would you believe the fluid bottle near the handlebars... take another look! You're a clever bugger Kane!

Geez, Ted, that must've been heartbreaking!! Hope it can be resurrected!

Thanks guys, appreciated! Dex did force my hand on the hood ornament. I was actually intending to remove it, but my laziness told me "bugger it, too much filling, leave it on!" In the end I had to do a hell of a lot more filling! Marc, I make the masks myself, my email is in my profile if you want more info. There's also a how to video on the forum - Here Thanks again!

Sweet, where's the Poncho bits come from??
-
Excellent job, very tidy. I've always found silver a problem colour to paint, guess you didn't by the looks of things!

Great looking car, these. And you've done it justice!

Hi guys, glad you liked the video. I'll probably do a couple more to show some of the trickier applications of the masks, like the full fendered 32 Ford set. There has been some changes since I had initially talked with Gregg about featuring the flames in the mag. The price is now $13AU per set including shipping worldwide. I'm basically a 1 man band when it comes to producing these, it can get pretty time consuming when you do all the design, testing, instructions, cutting and taping the masks, packing and shipping! $13 is about the best I can do at this stage, that may change if the quantities improve. At this point I haven't got any distribution in the US (or anywhere!) so it's all up to me. I'm working on the website as time allows so that they can be bought there. At the moment I'm doing everything via Paypal or Ebay (but they're $15 on Ebay to cover the fees etc) I'm also going to add an offer to the forum members, if you happen to bugger up any 1 part of the mask when applying it, I'll replace it for free. If you wreck more, then we'll have to talk! Thanks again & give them a go! I want to see more!

What more can you say, that is spot on!

G'Day again, Time for another one. Revell's 55 Chevy coupe, the usual lowering with Pegasus wheels & resin brakes. Otherwise built box stock (no wiring, too lazy....) Paint is a custom mix of Tamiya Racing white with a dash of orange. Flames are tamiya Red and Orange. Followed up with a light coat of pearl clear, then some not so light buckets of 2K clear. The interior is 3 tone tan in Tamiya acrylic. This car caused me considerable trauma... actually I shouldn't blame the car. Not an hour after it was finished, I accidentally knocked the hood off, only for it to be instantly snapped up in the waiting jaws of Dexter, my dog..... Result was one badly mangled hood! Luckily I had left over paint and was able to straighten & fill the hood & repaint it. It's a half shade out in colour and is now missing the chrome hood ornament, but I'm happy to have saved it! Needless to say, Dexter is not allowed near my models again! Anyway, enjoy! You can see the under repair hood in this shot!
