  1. Bodywork and finish are gorgeous, Bear! I just wish I liked the movie remake half as much as I liked the new Eleanor - Toby Halicki's original still rules!!!
  2. Pretty eclectic mix of "stuff", but it works for me!! Neat combination, Bear!!!
  3. Pretty Kool looking sled in its own right - to say nothing of the resurrection that you accomplished!!! I doubt that I would have the talent OR the guts to bring back something that broken up - GREAT JOB!!!!
  4. Dog dish caps & steelies!! Dog dish caps & steelies!!! DOG DISH CAPS & STEELIES!!!! There - now that I've got that outta my system, I gotta say that is one attractive replica. I really like the color combo, and the underhood detailing looks "just right"!! Looking forward to seeing the completed results!!
  5. Looks beautiful - although I AM a tad biased towards the color combo. My grandmother had the same car with the exception of a 283/Glide under the hood and no Connie kit!! Oughtta be a stunner!!!
  6. AWESOME - seldom does box-stock look SO professionally done!!
  7. It really turned out beautifully, Jim!! That version has been a favorite of mine since it came out - I had one but the assembly was WAAYY too much for me to handle at the time. Seeing one completed and detailed so well really evokes special memories!!
  8. WOW!!! You did a masterful job of converting it over - looks awesome!!!
  9. An eco-friendly alternative to the "Power Wheels" Barbie Vette - COOL!!!
  10. Nicely done street rod, Billy!!
  11. Trick looking B-body Nomad!!
  12. Thanks, Chris!! He's right - the "holes" are my attempt to replicate the auxilliary gauges. I didn't have any decals small enough to work and any attempt by me to detail paint the faces would've resulted in a Dali-esque nightmare, so I just drilled 'em to emphasize the depth and backed them up with black styrene. I still have to fill them with epoxy for lenses - fake gauges, anyone?!?
  13. No wipers, no heater, no power steering, what the hey - at LEAST it's gotta radio!!! Nice rendition of the hemi Dart, Bear. Your model certainly conveys the brute force and single-minded purpose of the original monster!!!
  14. Nassau Blue, Ralleys and redlines - me LIKEY!!!! Really nice build of the new kit - I am REALLY startin' to get the itch to grab one myself!!!
  15. It DOES look suspiciously like a 72 Goat - you SURE you're using the RC2 reissue?!?? Looks great, Brian - I can imagine how much reworking went into getting a straight and well-defined body from the starting point. How many times have you had to sharpen your scriber since beginning this?? It takes a certain amount of pluck to keep plugging away on a project like this and not abandon it or relegate it to "Slammer" status - NICE WORK!!!
  16. Whichever genre you choose to build it in, be sure and give a nod to nostalgia - use LOTTSA nasty tube "gloo" to secure the the clear iceblocks in the cargo area!!! I think that was my fave feature on that kit(dumb kid!)!!!
  17. Nice catch, Ismael - the one that I have was my first Brookfield and the finish quality and detailing really impressed me!!
  18. You've accomplished some really fine work, Abe - notably the ignition wire boots and the exhaust system!! Congratulations on successfully challenging your skills(no pun intended)!!!
  19. Maybe with the tunnel-ram Chumley's bite IS worse than his bark?!? Super sano buildup, Randy - the color choice and execution is gorgeous!!!
  20. I THINK I could open the box, play with the tires and maybe lose a part in that time frame!! Nice model under any circumstances - a work o' art in 13 hours!!!
  21. "Well, it needs a BIT of work before it debuts at Pebble Beach..." REALLY well-done daily beater!! You've successfully managed to convey the appearance of a well used but not destroyed commuter, which truly requires a restrained weathering approach - NICE!!!
  22. FINALLY I have some progress to show on this beast!! I finally added "carpeting" by using the embossing powder method. Special thanks to Randbugeye for graciously telling us how to do this!!! I think it gives a nice "in-scale" carpet appearance, plus it beats trying to fill and sand the ejector marks on the floorboards!! In addition, I finally scratched up some dash A/C vents from some spare ribbed valve covers redone with BMF and Tamiya Smoke and added instrument "lenses" with 5-minute epoxy. This may give this ole bucket interior some life yet!!
  23. Nicely done rig - the boat and trailer are exceptionally realistically detailed!! The Bronco took some time for me to get used to - in this area most have terminal tinworms, 44-inch tires or bear evidence of at least one rollover incident!!
  24. Nice family replica, Jeff!! The BMF work is really cleanly done, as is the lift work!!!
  25. (DANG!! He found me - KNEW I couldn't stay hidden forever...) Oh, um...HI Jeff!!! Welcome to MCM, bro, and I hope ya enjoy yourself here - I PROMISE I won't bring up your incident with the sheep and the lederhosen here....OOPS!!!
