  1. Oh heck - how about a fully detailed(photoetched parts, etc.) 1/24th -1/25th Auto Union Type D???
  2. At least one of the last, if not the last carbureted vehicles would have to be the 1987-88 GM G-bodies equipped with either the Chevy 305 or the Olds 307 - they came with the computer-feedback Rochester Quadrabog(Quadrajet).
  3. I second the notion about Ralph's!! Actually, if memory serves me right, he is located in Pinellas Park(on the St. Pete side of Tampa Bay)....a really good person to deal with!!!
  4. For me it has to be a toss-up between "LeMans", with Steve McQueen running his 911 coupe through the course pre-race, and when Elwood arrives at Joliet in the "Bluesmobile" Monaco to retrieve Jake in "The Blues Brothers"......
  5. R&R Resin has a repop of the Juha Airio mastered 71 Olds Delta 88 2-door hardtop.
  6. I just wanted to share my experiences with these items. I ordered a few sets of these tires via email last week, and they arrived at my door yesterday afternoon. The items were perfectly packed with no damage, and the castings themselves were virtually perfect - no pinholes or voids and very little flash. I can heartily recommend these to anyone!!
  7. I have purchased their 1967 Skylark kit from them some time ago. It is beautifully mastered and casted, and the customer service was top-notch in my case. I would definitely buy from him again without any reservations.
  8. Hi George - I have bought several Frontier Models. First off, they are not in the same league as Modelhaus of Promolite - you will likely have to do some minor to major reworking of components depending upon your standards and the particular kit at hand. These are NOT "shake 'n bake" models!! Having that said, I have never encountered anything that was unbuildable, and the subject matter of their kits simply cannot be found elsewhere(one of their newest offerings is a 1948 Packard Henney Hearse/Ambulance combination!!).
  9. Am I mistaken in thinking that the optional motor in AMT/Ertl's 1936 Ford tool was close to the era of Pontiac motor in the 55-57 GMC(347 c.i.)??
  10. We cannot ignore the "contributions" made by Premier, either......
  11. You might also want to check out Scale Equipment Ltd.'s site, as they offer a Firestone Wide Oval decal sheet with enough to do four tires. The part number is 24640-2, and it lists for $4.95.
  12. That'll be great for all the Street Charger fans out there. My question is this: how will this affect the anticipated reissue of the Petty/Baker Charger that was slated for later??
  13. Lovely job of finishing a less than stellar kit!! When you mention using the frame from the Kodak double kit, am I to assume that is the Revellogram kit from the mid-nieties??
  14. Pure eye candy, Mark - nothing short of spectacular!!!
  15. One valid difference between MCM and the competition - how long do you think a similar discussion would have been allowed at the "other place's" forum???
  16. On that train of thought, Charlie - have you looked at Scale Motorsports Upholstery Pattern decals to see if any of their products would be suitable for your application??
  17. Sorry to hear of this, Ralph. Your wife, yourself and your family will be in my prayers.
  18. Beautiful Poncho, Ron - those poverty caps really give it a character all its own!!
  19. Drop-dead GORGEOUS!!!!

    '72 Goat

Somehow I don't think the folks at Racing Champions intended for this reissue to look that good... Lovely work, Brian!!!
  21. I offer my prayers and sympathies to the family and friends of this fallen officer as well.
  22. .....If you have ever tried to "reconstitute" a rock-solid bottle of cured, dried Testor's PLA enamel by adding lighter fluid and trying to "stir" said mess with a flat bladed screwdriver, you might be a young modeler.....
  23. Your "Snake" looks outstanding thus far, Brian!!!
