  1. Looks as if you have a nice replica well underway, Brian!! Are the Caddy hubcaps kit items??
  2. NEAT project!! I, for one, would be very interested in reading any impressions you have of this piece - what's it's like OOB, areas that need improvement, etc. Unfortunately the only way I can find out for myself at this point is order one and hope...
  3. OUCH!!!! I realize the loss of materials, cost and time invested is substantial, but even more troublesome is annoying the local authority, aka The Spouse!!! Hope the resulting mess isn't too difficult to clean up, and enjoy the time you spend with Rover while in the doghouse!!!
  4. Really unique, well-done conversion, and the weathering is wonderful!! I am in agreement with Mike - I believe that this is a subject worthy of a resin kit. Medium-duty offerings are few and far between!!
  5. Mind boggling, Harry!! Although I will confess this much - sometimes, looking at your scratchbuilt operating features gives me a crushing sense of inadequacy, along with a mild headache.....
  6. INCREDIBLE, Andi - any more realistic and it would leak oil!!!
  7. I'm guessing real.....with the emphasis on "GUESS".......
  8. So far this has been an interesting take on how to bring the L'il Coffin into reality!! You have managed to incorporate the show car's flavor into your creation - NEET!!!
  9. Phenomenal paint and decal work, Brendan!! Do you clearcoat over your decals, and, if so, what brand of clear do you use?
  10. Neat cruiser conversion!! It certainly LOOKS plausible, and it would have been more practical than the B4C Camaros were. Are you related to "ObviousMan" from the comic strip "Non Sequitur" by any chance??
  11. You are too modest, Uwe - most of us would be THRILLED with your foiling results!! The finish is lovely. Of special interest is the engine bay - not many modelers can weather an engine to make it look used, yet well-maintained. You certainly pulled that off nicely here!!
  12. I like it - it looks like a mascot for "Doctor Demento's Pizza Delivery"!!!
  13. Nicely finished replica that is seldom seen, Tony!! Who made the kit - Tamiya or Fujimi, perhaps? I think you've got enough rubber on the rear to handle a warm small-block!!!
  14. WOW, Doc, that came together fast!!! You certainly captured the look and lines of the real one with this conversion. The fabbed rear side windows add a nice touch!!
  15. Not that I am aware of. Although, you COULD send Doc (MkowaPhD) two AMT Edsel kits, spot putty, some Miracle-Gro Hair Tonic and some kibble for Mongo and see what happens....
  16. Lovely build! The finish appears to be flawless, and the graphics look as if they were painted on - NICELY DONE!!!
  17. Interesting mix of genres - with the wheels, it's kinda "GoodGuys meets Lowrider"! Better yet, it WORKS, visually. Your workmanship appears to be top-notch!! Nice decor in the display case as well!!!
  18. That big sucka is TASTY!!! You did a great job on incorporating the suspension - the height and stance looks believeable, not contrived or clunky. The Escalade front end really works, and the H-D color scheme looks so right(can one DO that if it's not a Ford?). Cool model!!!
  19. Nicely done box-stock replica, Rob!!! I still am so happy that The ModelKing saw fit to reissue one of my 1st builds!!!
  20. Looks good, Neal - the two-tone treatment definitely gives it a "Posies" flavor. Really nicely done photo background as well!!
  21. Neat survivor, Dave!! I wonder if the IMSA and "cafe" racer trend will ever come back? It's not TOO different than Pro Touring in many aspects!
  22. Neat looking chopper, drgplstc - welcome to the forum!! I like the paint hue - what paint did you use for this build?
  23. Good to see the Imperial get another shot - even though I bought 2 this summer for fear that the supply was dwindling!!!
  24. That ought to look stunning when polished, as the finish looks about flawless as it stands!! What did you use to adhere the embossing powder to the interior surfaces? The results do look cleaner and more in-scale than flocking does. I eagerly await seeing more of this Lambo!!! P.S. Chumley certainly appears to be a fierce lad!!!
  25. Neat concept - you won't see too many like that one!!!
