  1. NICE looking finish, Budleh!! One thing you'll want to do is add your name to your signature when you post - that is a rule at MCM!
  2. Let's see - subjecting myself to quizzes that will once again make me feel like a fool. AAAAHH, that's better!!!!
  3. Delightfully decrepit, Doc!!!
  4. Nicely done replica, Bill! I do not know if silver was indeed a factory color offering, but it certainly looks correct for the car.
  5. Thank you for the update, Jackie, and PLEEEZE let us know when these are ready for sale!! 68 Park Lane droptop, huh? I'm willing to bet that if you mastered a four door hardtop you would likely have a SLEW of orders. I would LOVE to have a replica of McGarett's ride myself.....
  6. Looks good, Doc!! Doesn't exactly foll off the tongue, though - Edsel Interceptor?? I've never seen one in service, but I know that Amblewagon converted a few Edsel wagons into ambulettes. Still, a classy model all the way!!
  7. Welcome aboard, Good Doctor!!! Good to see you here!!!
  8. You couldn't ask for a more fitting wheel and tire combo - steelies and poverty caps FOREVER!!! As usual, your build is squeaky clean and sanitary. There's something about an Elephant-motored black Mopar that just exudes badness and power!!!
  9. Great looking model - it certainly conceals its "Dukes" ancestry very well! I noticed you added the 68 round side marker lights - maybe it could be a phantom "lost prototype" sister car to the red one?? Neat model!!!
  10. YIPPEEE!!!! Thanks Harry!!
  11. Lovely replica, Chris! Your weathering is so realistic, I can practically SMELL the grease and aging rubber!!
  12. Neat replica of Eleanor, Dan!! Too bad you couldn't add the woman at the carwash after Toby had her car "rewashed"!!!
  13. Wonderful job of completing a hard-to-assemble IMC offering, Bill. Jim Hall would be proud!!!
  14. Keen Kustom, Steve! The sidepipes certainly flow with the lines, and the Edsel caps really lock on to the vintage look. Neat little cruiser!!
  15. Well, it does have a seventies flavor, and it is different - I like it!! Lovely workmanship to boot!! About all one could add to it would be a ski rack on the roof, and some 8-track cartridges on the passenger seat!!
  16. Beautiful period-correct kustom - looks like it was plucked from the streets of postwar L.A.!!! Kudos to your sanitary building job as well!!
  17. Absolutely stunning work, Harry!! The coachwork does look like it was lovingly hung by 1/8th scale old-world panelbeaters, rather than the indifferent fit that the kit provides(the "short-sheeted" hood, etc.). You certainly gave a thorough account of the adventures involved in building one of these - whether I will ever attempt one is another matter altogether!!
  18. Lovely finish and the ultimate "killer" stance - what every pro-streeter should aspire to be!!! Your Goat definitely rocks!!
  19. BREATHTAKINGLY CLEAN - the very definition of a razor-sharp build!! Many moons ago I read that the ultimate goal of a modeler is to suspend disbelief - to make one's eye accept the image as reality. Your replica easily passes that test!!
  20. I am sorry to hear of this. I had bought from him a time or two on EBay, and I didn't recognize the name at first. He always treated me well in our dealings. My prayers go to his family and friends.
  21. Simply amazing work!! I can imagine that John Haenle is smiling somewhere, enjoying what a master artisan can do with one of his kits. Thank you for unselfishly sharing your building experience with us!!!
  22. I do agree that the prices for models on EvilBay can be extreme. An Esci Toyota BJ-44 "Philipino Taxi" in unbuilt condition went for (eep!) $236.75 tonight. For whatever reason(speculation, overwhelming desire to own it), that kit is now practically unobtainable to the average builder. I can remember buying them for less than 10 bucks a pop from Squadron Mail Order in the eighties - oh well.....
  23. Good to hear that all is well with you! We look forward to hearing what you will be up to. Your musclecar replicas and articles have been an inspiration to me, sir!!
  24. Looks like a subject worthy of the efort, Dave! I was wondering how you were planning to repair the cracks in the roof and the lower left quarter - more specifically, are you going to use any pinning with brass rod stock or a plastic "bridge" on the underside of the afflicted area??
  25. The Fords look great so far, Ayatollah - especially the Ranchero!! How much work in the way of surface prep did you have to do to the 72's brightwork before you had it chromed?? This is a build style that I am not accustomed to seeing from you - no landau bars or window drapes?? Good to see you here!!
