  4. Got 2 of these kits in the mail the other day... As well as finally getting my hands on the 34 Slammer kit... Turns out I'm surprised that it's a Snap kit via the instructions say I can... But it needs painted but no paint diagram... Wonder what's suppose to be what color???
  5. Im still waiting on my order to show up... Im hoping in a couple days. I did hear that the kit is based on old monogram molds Also found SJR did a WHATS IN THE BOX video on it as of last night.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Cv6TOvE0Z4
  6. Love these old squarebody's

  8. Went to my Southside Parkersburg WV Ollie's and they had a nice collection of Coke kits available so I had to snag a few... Also went by the Wally world just up the street to find this little magnetic tool organizer for all my nippers and plyers and so on
  9. My Southside Parkersburg WV Ollie's had a nice Coke collection to choose from... I picked up the General and a trailer and 2 of the Chevy pickups
  10. Not sure where else to post this? If admin's have a better suggestion pm me! I went to the Heritage racing fest at the old Pennsboro speedway and stumbled across a couple tables set up of nothing but model cars. Some were built by a guy i met there (Hes a sub here to this mag, and maybe a member here to?) and others he inherited and another guy built some that i didnt see there... He even asked me to bring some of my models next year... If i remember, i'll definitely be doing so For your enjoyment!
  11. I do, but im mainly into Red Oval brand stuff... and neither of those kits really fancy me much.... Besides its not really "New Tool", Its actually a New Tool MADE using an Original kit as a guide via Mr. Red Oval himself
  12. Why? whats the deal with them?
  13. The New Marietta Ohio location that just opened a few days ago had this as a selection
  14. New Ollies is going to open up i think today or has, ill double check and the southside parkersburg one to see whats there
  15. Found another hobby store near me thats NOT! Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Its a vendor inside of a vendor mall in Belpre Ohio. ALMOST Walked out of there with the new revell 69 gto kit but had 2nd thoughts for right now. DID get a new bottle of Trim silver chrome for my model supplies since my last great bottle i had MIA'd itself ? Tamiya x11 Silver Chrome, I use Enamel all the time so this will be a first for a Acrylic version....
  16. Got all the parts back together on the chassis, Now just wait on glue to dry and put it together the rest of the way... then onto another model (until i find a toolbox for this thing ? )
  17. Up next on my bench whilst waiting for paint (I found a new hobby shop near me, i plan on visiting tomorrow) is the Aoshima toyota hilux kit that i had for a while, it was painted and almost done if i could find a tool box for the back but couldnt. Sadly this is the shape its in after several moves, Yeah I'd say it didnt fare its share of moving to well. Will be brought back to life to prior to moving.
  18. Nice display model, Only thing i hated about that kit is that chassis it uses, doesnt give you much of a choice to detail or modify so i would just throw that thing away and use one from the revell suburban or any of the other c10 kits...
  19. First 2 models to hit the New bench are both revell monogram 69 camaro kits, The Fathom Green one was a revell/gearz tv contest entry during one of the 2 contest that they ran. Painted and modeled after a real deal Fathom Green JL8 Cross Ram induction car i found on the interwebs along time ago. For that one i had to reattach the mirror, and now figure out why that hood wont sit flush like its suppose to then into a case on a future shelf when i get one. 2nd one is an OOPSIE DAISY mistake car where i messed up on the body work and put it away for a while... Now back out and waiting on a coat of primer to see if there are any more spots since i think i fixed them all... and a few parts reattached to that fell off during the number of times i moved and had it packed in totes. I finally got the chair not expecting it till Monday but it showed up just prior to me leaving for a family reunion and got it all assembled after i got home, Now waiting on the 2 lamps i got and i believe it shall do till i put up some shelving. 73's KD8ODS
  20. FINALLY!!! Got a workbench back up thanks to Wayfair... Now just waiting on the chair and desk lamps that clamp on to the side before i can start getting to modeling again ?
  21. My walmart has a few kits locally, Nothing spectacular enough for me to bring home. Haven't checked the other 2 near me... but i did finally get a workbench back up thanks to Wayfair... Now just waiting on the chair and desk lamps that clamp on to the side before i can start getting to modeling again ?
  22. I built a few, ill find pics tomorrow as Photobucket did its thing a while back and post them then
  23. Heres the kit i started with... Looked to be a nice kit and dig that blue its in. SORRY! Camera on my phone sucks donky! Heres where i stand. Trim painted on the body with that Moltov chrome pen thingy, needs some touch ups... interior had the rear molded in seat taped off and painted white, still got to detail the door cards and the dash tires sanded and ready to mount engine assembled and ready for painting front seats hit with the same paint so they would match.
