  1. Thx. Guys , I think my next big hurdle will be cutting the body apart and doing the headers for the turbos.
  2. Looks great Charlie, Is it possible for you to get your braided line in black? I could paint it but figured it would lose it's detail.
  3. Another update, Got the front struts installed and let me tell you this one kicked my butt, This is definatley the hardest part so far. I have probably close to 14 hours in just what you see in the front end, alot of thinking and head scratching. I built the lower arms out of brass and soldered together, Probably made 6 sets before i was happy with the outcome. I still have gussets to add to the upper mounts and some more bars on the main hoops. then i will start on the steering, I also need to make some brake rotors for the front. The Photo etched ones and the TDR ones are to big. I'm thinking the ones off a 1/12 tamiya bike might work.
  4. Love this stuff, I work at a print shop
  5. I was wondering that also. Even my 94 subaru legacy Daily driver gets 30mpg love that little car.
  6. The MPG's of cars are never 100% accurate, Should the car get what they claim sure, But how it was driven has alot to do with that also. Anything to make a quick buck, That's the problem now a days everybody is sue happy for stupid stuff like this.
  7. Bummer, they were just suppose to release some 1/16th decals, got an email from them couple weeks ago stating when they would be released.
  8. Holy Chit that looks great, The paint just made it come to life.
  9. You guys are to kind, I appreciate all the positive feedback. Tyrone, with the detail and work you do on those promods i would love to see what you can do in 1/16th. Come over to the dark side Tyrone (in my Vader voice) lol
  10. Thx. Bart, this is the only model project I have at the moment, have 2 more I wanna start soon.
  11. Thx. Rob, I never thought I would get this far and it would turn out this nice.
  12. Thx Jim, the shocks turned out great, I was surprised how good the springs worked, I didn't even have to trim them.
  13. No problem Rom. Got the anti-roll bar done except for the links.
  14. Bart: I'm a hair under an 1/8" I would like it lower just for looks, But ithink it looks good where it is also. I acctually bought a little plastic box of springs from harbor frieght in the section with all there screws, nuts etc. I think they wroked out perfect.
  15. Guys here is the TRD site, when you click on something it will take you to shapeways to order. Expect a couple weeks from order to receiveing your stuff maybe a hair more, You won't be dissappointed. https://sites.google.com/site/tdrinnovations/ Sounds good Scott.
  16. Scott I have done things over 2 or more times on this build lol, 1/16 could use some more support hint hint , lol
  17. THx. Guys , Rom the joints are from TDR. I used 3/32 styrene tube to make the caps, I had file the tube to make it fit the yoke. Once ther glued in a finished it should look great, and it is functional like a real one.
  18. Little update, Shocks are mounted and ride hieght set. Gonna start on the anti-roll bar tommarrow, Waiting for some parts for the frontend and some parts from RB motion. Hope to start on the front end by weeks end, Also started messing with the driveshaft. Let me know what ya think about the ride height. I swear i spend more time staring at it and figuring than i do building.
  19. Here's my little work area, I have it in my computer room. The main are is an old computer desk i got of my mom, next to that is a little bench and some storage. The last picture is the bench behind me that will have my paint booth once i pick one up, There is an in the wall AC unit i'm taking out in the spring then when i do the block in the wall i will add a dry outlet for the booth.
  20. Nice work on the latch Rom, simple but affective. All these wroking door latches around here are gonna make me do them on mine now.
