  1. Definitely going to build some for mine also. PS Dave i wanna see working one's on your 1/8 build. hehe
  2. I raced for lots of years and spent and arm and a leg. Just starting out i would definitely go electric, Since you like offroad you can't go wrong with a traxxas slash. Just about any hobby shop that carries RC will have traxxas parts and they are pretty darn tough and can take a beating, and with todays lipo batteries you get excellent run time. Once you start modding you probably won't stop lol. A-main hobbies.com is a pretty good site for buying online. If you need some more help or guidance feel free to PM me.
  3. Oh i know it's not cheap by any means, Kudos to you for being able to do this. We as modeling community are lucky to have guys like you and Dave that fund these projects and all the rest that make it happen.
  4. Man this will be cool, Can't wait to see it. More money to spend lol.
  5. If paint lifted i would repaint it, But in the end it's your model. I like where it's going though.
  6. Dam, that is a good idea. Be alot easier to make them all same length, I will see how the other side goes tonight then go from there.
  7. Thx. Dave, header is easily removable might give it a try, it will be amaziming is the passenger side matches the drivers side.
  8. Wheels look great Tyrone, Paint is looking good so far.
  9. Thx. Guys, Got the drivers side header started. Still need to do the collector, Still not sure if i like them. They look kinda weird to me, Let me know what you think.
  10. Great work, super clean. Where did you get the Liberty shifter setup? scratch built?
  11. Show off, J/K. Awesome work as usual Dave. i have been doing more work on my lathe, Hope to purchase a mini-mill in the future. Seeing your parts makes me want to make more of my own stuff.
  12. Thx. Jack, I'm acctually finding it in different guages. Now i just have to figure out what gauge i need.
  13. Very Nice, Can't wait to see this finished. How long did you let the paint dry before taping?
  14. Thx. guys, much appreciated. Feels like i'm finnaly getting somewhere lol. I got the motor plate done today and the turbos assembled, In the 3rd picture is where i'm pretty sure they are going to go. Or i may mount them like mike Moran has them on his new stang, Starting the header flanges tommarrow.
  15. Jack, Do you know what size of the beadalon you used by chance? I'm loooking to pick some up.
  16. Only picture i have of myself, This back when i use to big into Rc racing. I'm on the left.
  17. WOW,That looks amazing. is that 1/16th Jack? what process did you use to make the upper part? getting ready to start on one for mine.
  18. That bracket setup Looks great Chris, Do they make a wrench for the smaller brass bolts like that? I made one for the 00-90 i use but didn't see any for the smaller ones.
  19. Very cool doing the turbos in the truck area, That car you have pictured is Mike murillo's car. He acctually went back to traditional turbo mounting now. Another one is paul major's corvette, here's the link to his pictures. http://corvettemajor.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=7
  20. Not much of an update, I was having issue's with the passenger side door. Have lots of body work to do on that and was basically getting frustriated , So i figured best to take a break from it for a while. I figured i would do a little mock up, On the frontend you can see i made some little fastener plates to hold the frontend on. They are made out of brass rod with brass plate solder to them and holes drilled, I also did some re-working of the front struts. For the inside of the front clip i used some brass rod glued into the hood for mounting pins, I received my order from dirtmodeler so i plan on getting the front motor plate done and the motor mounted and hopefully start on the headers.
  21. Nice, Gonna be at least a year till i start my TDR camaro. Can't wait to see what you do with it, I also bought the dirt modeler parts. Great quality, Only thing i would like to see is the Dzus fasterners for the outside of the body.
  22. Your scratch building and weathering skills are amazing. nice work.
  23. Beautiful models, 30 years ago. That's amazing, looks like they were built yesterday.
