  1. I have a bunch of plans too so maybe between the two of us, we can get a couple decent ones built. Did you see where Dr. Holman's was for sale?
  2. My drool bucket has overflowed. Amazing and incredible work Tim!!
  3. Dang, I have plans to build one of those. Do you have all of the blueprints and reference pictures for the Torpedo?
  4. Off to a great start there brother. Making good time as usual.
  5. For the cuts, I usually cut oversized with either a scissors or by using multiple cuts with an Xacto and sand down the edges with an emory board using progressively smaller grain so they end up polished. I have a difficult time bending the thicker stuff but on the thinner stuff, I bend it over the edge of my metal ruler for a precise and crisp bend. That green stuff on the one side of the thicker material is a real bear to remove. i use various attachments on my Dremel like the one for stripping paint. In most applications, rarely do both sides of the aluminum show, so that helps. I hope this helps.
  6. Amazing....although its not surprising. This build hasn't even started and this thread is already on its second page. Maybe we can get it to three.
  7. Thx Bruce. No, not a plumber by trade, in fact I hate plumbing. I don't mind putting in new but can't stand repairing the stuff. LOL So glad all of this was new.
  8. So good to speak with you briefly today Johnny. Glad you steered me towards this thread. I, like Chris, are all buckled up, seat back tables are in their upright position and we're a GO for liftoff.
  9. Thanks so much Gator. The hanging clothes in the closet aren't really detailed since you can only see the sides of them.
  10. Thanks so much Codi. Have you put the printing plate to good use yet?
  11. Thanks Dave. This one has been a real challenge for me. Just when i think I'm almost done, I realize just how much there is still to do.
  12. Now that the body's done, I have a bit of fine tuning adjustments on the steering arm and drag link. Its under a bit of tension and not straight. Hopefully this fix is minor.
  13. I've always wanted to make a flyfishing man's vest ever since I added the flyfishing rod, net and creel. I plan on experimenting with a variety of materials to do this because I want the vest to show all of the bulging pockets and a couple of flies pinned to the wool patch.
  14. Thanks guys but it still has a ways to go before its done.
  15. Here's the pic of the paper towels and holder. Other than a few minor smalls that may get added, this one is done.
  16. A bit of work done on this finally. Added another box and a pillow to the shelf in the wardrobe closet, no picture at this time. Now that the driver's side cabinet is complete, it got glued in place. Also made a soap dish for the bathroom/shower our of printing plate and evergreen. Also started on the front window frame for the camper out of more printing plate. More to come this week.
  17. Thanks for your interest guys. Here's a shot of the final decals. There was a small rectangular one in the lower front which a couldn't make out so I found a generic one. Getting closer to the finish line and well past half track now.
  18. I made a roll of paper towels and a chrome holder and hung it on the underside of the lifted lid. I had to research to find out when paper towels became available and believe it or not, it was the early '30s. I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow.
  19. You could also make them on the computer and print them out on card stock.
  20. I find pictures online by doing google searches and copying them and scaling them down to the right size on my page layout program. I make several of the same incase I miss cut or something, then I have an extra or two and don't have to print out another full size sheet.
  21. Now this is a cool set up. Loved the show, still do but don't get to see it anymore. So where did you find the trailer kit?
  22. The redone decals came in yesterday and I'm planning on getting them applied tomorrow along with the aluminum firewall cover.
  23. So I gotta ask, how did you know they were sideways if they were right on your computer? Great build of a challenging kit. I've got one of these in the works myself but with a resin cab from Ed Fluck. Its in the Purple Pond at the moment. I really need to get it finished.
