gasser59 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Sweet looking build Niko. Congrats on a well thought out and executed vintage dragster. I love this one Niko. Have fun at the show. -
Sure can Art. I knew you were coming anyway so you've already beeb added to the list. For all of you other lurkers, step up to the plate and make arrangements to attend DSC this year. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

X2 LOL That is really shaping up nicely Chris. Will be be thinning from the inside of the body where eh snorkel is to mimic the thickness of the body? I hope that made sense. -

Thoroughly blown away here just like the commercial where the top of my head pops off and a purple cloud comes out. Mind blown. -

Don't think for a second that all of your hard work, dedication and time aren't showing in this build. Each post is a milestone. The belt looks great and I can't even see where you patched it. -
Uh oh...I didn't realize it was going to be a surprise. Pardon me please.

Oh come on now, I know there will be more patrons in attendance to this year's DSC than already mentioned in this thread. I'm trying to get a head count for badges so chime in. We're getting a graphic directly from Gregg so these will be official MCM badges.

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018

Its all good brother. I don't really care how long it takes, I'm along for the ride. Its been a long journey with a few side trips but as they say, its the journey and not the destination. -

You must be done by now and maybe posting this build in the 'Under Glass' section. -

You've come this far with the stunning creation and a minor set back causing a delay is bound to happen on a build of this magnitude. Don't finish this for a deadline, finish it for you so that when its done and sitting on display, you can look at it and say its the best it can be. No regrets. Those 3D printed parts are exceptional. Hang in there brother. -
It must be the medications you're taken. I have plans on a 1/16 scale build in the near future so that I can get the use of my arm back. Just not sure if its next or not.

Henry J Twin Turbo - Didn't see that coming..........
gasser59 replied to Codi's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
In studying your latest picture, i guess I'm a bit confused. The connection hole in steering arm looks to be vertical instead of horizontal. Am I missing something or am I not up to date on the latest steering technology?? -

Just another small update that really rocks the socks. WTG Tim!! -
Thanks so much Andreas. No, I haven't been shopping in the dollhouse section. LOL
-
I'd like to enroll in this school too because it takes me about ten months to complete a build.

Thanks for your interest Barry. I have another in the box one too. Let us know when you start yours because I'd like to tune in.

I guess we'll let you off the hook on your lil roadster since you've been working on your 1:1 pickup. Looks great and I'll be she's a blast to drive. -

You're tearing it up as usual, lil brother. I always amazed at the quality and accuracy of your builds but the speed is even more so amazing. Stand back everyone, John's slinging plastic. -

Certifiably good, that is. Loving this crazy build of your Tim. -
No it didn't place but it was either you got the most votes or you didn't. There wasn't a second or third place award, just top vote getter. My Carney Wagon won in the Light Commercial category though. Thanks Michael. I had a lot of fun with this one and there were a few bumps in the road but they were overcome. I'm really happy with it and if I had it to do over, I'd make a few minor tweaks during the build. Now to figure out what's next. Maybe my Jeep or some other thing. I have an idea for a 1/16th scale build but am waiting on a built kit before I can get started on it. Don't tell Mooneyz. LOL

Thanks Craig. Here's a pic as it sat on the table at the contest. Picture taken by Blunc.

Niko - thanks for joining me on this Puffer journey. So glad you find inspiration form this build. Dave - yes, the sunlight makes a big difference than the unnatural interior lighting. Thanks. Aaron - it was great hooking up with you again on Saturday. I really appreciate your comments. You had some mighty fine stuff on the tables too.
