Model A with a Polly
gasser59 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thar's funny Greg. The engine in your first post is from the Back Seat Betty car which is what I used as my avatar. I originally wanted to build this kit but the chop job didn't turn out so well so I moved on. -
Tim - that is nothing short of stunning. A masterpiece and this thread is just getting started.

Been slowly adding a few more details on Joe's Garage. Joe's been hoarding a couple of vintage radiator shells and he finally bit the bullet and got them hung up along with a couple more tin signs he picked up at a local flea market. Joe's committed to get some more items upstairs on the shelves because inventory is getting low. Stay tuned.

Now that is an update brother. Exquisite work right there. Bet that feels good to have that done. Feels good to see it done on this end. -
I don't know what else to say!!

What we are witnessing with this thread is sheer perfection and a dedication to making things absolutely flawless. I applaud your extensive efforts Tim.

Thanks Tim. Glad you found this thread hanging out in the Dioramas section. This was the first thread I started.

Jaw dropping work right there although I shouldn't call it work because I know you had fun making it Tim.

Here's a shot of the sectioned window pane as mentioned above. I want to put strings on the guitar but it is really stuck to the blanket. Since I can now print a pattern or other details on fabric paper, I may just pull it up, hopefully without destroying the bed. I also want to make a new pillow with less of a fabric pattern. Still a few more items to follow.

Thanks fellas. Chris - I don't know whether this will ever be finished. Always something to add. Been working on it tonight in fact. Dennis - thanks for checking in. Still a bit more to work on so stay tuned. Tom - Glad you were able to catch up with Joe's Garage. Lots going on. Charlie - thanks so much my friend.

I completely forgot to post a pic of the added interior window frame dividers. It really bugged me from the interior, the frames were missing and it looked like one big sheet of glass. I'm thinking of adding a small flat battery similar to a watch battery and a small LED light in the rafters with a small switch. Got to find the right combination of battery, voltage, bulb and switch. I think it will look really cool for light to be showing through the windows. Thanks for your interest.

That is a great shot Bill. Makes you want to jump in and take it for a spin. -
Ok fellas, the Reznor space heater got a flue pipe although not much time yesterday because of Mother's Day. Sure nice to be back working on this. Work will continue.

Oh my word, that looks great. Looks like it would be really comfortable in the hand. Onto the next monumental component. -
Work on Joe's Garage continues. I made a list of things I still want to do including bit more work on the Reznor heater by adding a flue pipe, need to add more stuff to the shelving upstairs along with more loose stuff on the floor, need to add more stains on the concrete floor and add a hook to the now functioning trouble light. Stay tuned.

That little detail looks really great on there brother. -
This sure is going together nicely Art. Kickin' some tail on this and it sure looks great. Only looks like you're just a few more details to call this one done.

'34 Ford Early Altered - 1/16th Scale
gasser59 replied to gasser59's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Hey Joe, no hiding from you. The new Hawaiian has better slicks that don't look like they'll collapse. I may use them on this build although I'm hoping for some pie crusts to be more period correct. -

This is on hold for the brief moment. I was trying to get a curbside done of my old '82 Toyota 4WD pickup with 33 inch tires done in a week and am just about done with it. Stay tuned. -

That looks great Greg. Glad to see you've gotten some bench time on this. Loving the color. -
Henry J Twin Turbo - Didn't see that coming..........
gasser59 replied to Codi's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
No…say it isn't so. I have been following your Henry J thread almost from the beginning and am in disbelief. I hope that wasp paid the ultimate price. I'm already following the Mustang, which is really coming together bTW, as for the Falcon, I too think the roof is too low in the front. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the photo.
