  1. Art - finally found your thread and have to say, you're really doing this one justice. It was a treat to see this in person at DSC and now I'm loving your progress. Your fabrication and innovation skills are evident on this one.
  2. Hey, where'd all the photos go?
  3. I sincerely hope to see this in person one day, like maybe DSC-13?? Hint...hint...
  4. Thanks much Walter. It is a simple car and a fun build.
  5. Here's Chris' display at DSC this year. I've been assured this is the last time this build will be on the Projects Table at DSC. I've posted the first photo in this thread previously, but the second one hasn't been shown until now. He put together a cool display case showing all of the pieces he's worked on or collected to finish this miraculous build including the decals I made for him. Come on brother, give us an update.
  6. Thanks fellas. Much appreciated. On to the next build.
  7. Last weekend, I entered the Walt's Puffer Too in the Replica category at DSC here in Phoenix and am pleased to report it took top honors. I had to provide documentation along with photos to demonstrate accuracy of the 1:1 vehicle. Here's a pic from the show..
  8. OK fellas, here's those aforementioned photos. This is how I got this from Greg and it is really a good base from which to start. I started by carefully undoing the glue joints. Thanks Greg for not using a lot of glue as these came apart easily. Hopefully some bench time this Sunday. My Saturday is jam packed.
  9. Thanks Tom. You too.
  10. I hope to get a few pictures up late this evening. Stay tuned.
  11. OK Brent, this one has stalled long enough. Any new progress on this bad boy?
  12. I have no idea where I'm going to put this one when its finished so maybe I shouldn't finish it and keep it on the bench. LOL I haven't built this scale since being a teen so this will be interesting.
  13. I've picked up one of the Revell 1/16th scale '34s from my friend Greg Myers. Its a well previously-built 80's style that I have plans on doing an early altered style with a Mark Johnson 392 hemi which I already have. Been saving it just for this build. It will be fenderless and have a scratch-built functioning straight axle. Not sure on the kind of rear end, depends on what's readily available. Thinking I'll open the doors as well as the trunk lid. This will be fun. Here's the car that inspired this build although i won't be building a replica. http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq96/flyfshr/Scale Auto Builds/1933 Ford Altered/34FordAltered_zpsyonqc37m.jpg Mooneyzs will be so proud I've jumped into 1/16th scale. He's been hounding me for years. LOL
  14. I've picked up one of these large scale '34s from my friend Greg Myers. Its a well built 80's style that I have plans on doing an early altered style with a Mark Johnson 392 hemi which I already have. Been saving it just for this build. It will be fenderless and have a scratch-built functioning straight axle. Not sure on the kind of rear end, depends on what's readily available. Thinking I'll open the doors as well as the trunk lid. This will be fun.
  15. Still more to follow.
  16. Here's a few more pics from the show last Saturday. Still more to download so stay tuned.
  17. Dang Chris that's beautiful. So glad i got to see this in person. Looking forward to seeing those amazing decals on that sparkly body.
  18. This is a true statement about hanging out with you but your models are more than stunning. I don't know any words better than stunning but those models were all that.
  19. I had the opportunity to see this creation in person at DSC this past weekend. What a beauty it is and it is so much better in person. So good to hang out with you Johhny.
  20. I've only downloaded about half my photos. I have some of the models that haven't been posted yet and try to get to them tonight.
  21. Yes you do. It should be on every modelers' bucket list. Besides I'd love to meet you and drool over your creations.
  22. Well....if Chris isn't going to post any photos, I will. This is a milestone and looks so right. Those colors sparkle.
