  1. Not sure you need any luck sent your way based on the update. Looks great.
  2. I'm sure its close to right, right?
  3. Loving this build. Great progress and looking forward to the next one.
  4. Thanks fellas. Will be away from the bench for at least a week for a long overdue fishing trip to the San Juan River in New Mexico. I gotta get my trout on!
  5. Holy Shnikeees brother John. That is some fabulous work right there but nothing less is expected of you but everytime I see a new update, I'm blown out of my socks. Chris is right, I'm also looking forward to some paint on that body. Keep on keeping on.
  6. Finally able to shoot some Alclad on the pipes since the temps were down a bit yesterday morning. Engine's pretty much done at this point. Here's a couple pictures.
  7. But I don't recall seeing an Imperial Star Destroyer having leaf springs. Maybe I missed it. I suppose its a possibility although highly unlikely.
  8. Glad you're still following along Ace. Thanks.
  9. Well, no Alclad painted last night. Just too humid here in the NW part of the valley and its not any better today. Just wish it would rain and get it over with. We can certainly use it.
  10. If I was wearing panties right now, they'd be soaked. John...this is off the charts again. The detail and realism you put into everyone of your builds amazes me. I gonna have to send in one of my secret spy minions in to tape you working because I'd just love to watch you work.
  11. The pipes got a shot of Alclad Gloss Black yesterday and I hope to get them shot with Alclad Chrome tonight. Stay tuned.
  12. The fairly new True Value store up the street has it. I haven't bought any just yet since I didn't use it on the left side pipes, I saw no reason to use it on the right side pipes. I've set aside some extended bench time tomorrow to get back to this dilemma.
  13. In itself, that frame rail is stunning my friend. It cleaned up so well, I can't even see any of the soldering joints but I know they're there. Insanely good update. Going to get the other one done today and the cross members done tomorrow?
  14. Tim - just think of how your head was swimming after your 6 hour learning session. That is how my head feels every time I see pics from your updates. You are schooling us my friend. And such a thorough teacher at that. I need to bring you an apple. LOL
  15. I could work in there quite easily. We'll see how long it takes to look like mine.
  16. I've got all four of the tubes cut, bent and cleaned up for the right side exhaust pipes. Since I used cheap solder and the electroplating doesn't seem to want to stick, I think I'll just glue these with CA and Alclad them. That's my plan anyway.
  17. Yeah, I need some diapers over here too. Johnny boy that is one sweet update. You are really pushing the envelope on this one and in record time too. Those minions must be reproducing and making more of them because I think you have more now than ever.
  18. Thanks Chris. Me too.
  19. Finally got my laptop back after a month, a week and three days in the shop and its second hard drive in three months. Now I can get back to the bench. LOL
  20. Some great progress Joe, my man. Those leaves will look sick, I tell ya. I'm tuned in.
  21. Looking good master Joe. Its gonna be tight for the headers, whichever route you plan to run them but you'll get it figured out.
  22. I don't have the time to read any of those. I know, I really need to get some bench time in. I have the desire but not the time it seems. I'll just have to get the other exhaust done this weekend. The tubes are cut and bent and I'm on my second flange since the first one's holes weren't aligned perfectly. The weather here, you ask??? Hot with a slight chance of hotter.
  23. Tim…Tim…Tim, this build is off the charts and I love the updates but what thoroughly blows my mind is so far I'm not seeing any other construction material besides metal. I tip every one of my hats to you.
  24. Absolutely not Michael. I can certainly use all the help I can get. My biggest challenge at this point is finding the time for some extended bench time. Seems if I don't have a couple of free hours, I don't even start.
  25. Don't stick sponsor ones on your forehead unless they pay you. How's that???
