  1. Are they offering the trailer seperate from the Prostar? Or selling them as a kit together?
  2. Why would they just let them use the rights for the trademark name for a fair fee with a stipulation of being able to see the final product to make sure it passes a quality test? Because isnt that there biggest problem? They dont want there name going on just any ###### out there. Its also amazing how something as simple as a toy can alter a deal any anything from buying a new car at the dealership up to buying a truck, if they have a model of some sort to relate to there vehicle it will intice them to buy it more. Crazy, but its true.
  3. This reminds me of the "18 wheels" series of games for the pc, they ran into soo many copyright issues with it, and well they got rather creative with the names for the trucks to keep them similar...But differant.
  4. Do you have a link to there website?
  5. Hmm, took a look at there website and didnt see anything? Do u maybe have a link?
  6. Is there any supplier out there that currently has decals available for the lettering on the side of tires?
  7. Worse case scenario Duplicolor chrome should take care of that, or at least thats what I used on the 48ft reefer and it turned out quite well. Or, how big of sheets are available for bmf? ;-)
  8. Ooops, haha, its actually looks like it would be straight forward to do the walls and ceiling. I actually have some sign inserts here at my work that are made from very thin and flexable plastic and kinda have a grainy finish on the backside, so something like that would work amazing, so that could be a suggestion to someone if they have a sign making place around and ask to see there material. Now how in the world would you do a detailed floor like that in a reefer unit?? That is now the challenge, because I already have a about a dozen or so ideas brainstorming in my head on all the differant company set ups and colour schemes...AHH! haha, is it out yet, is it out yet, is it out yet? haha
  9. Maybe something as simple as detailing a few sheets of thin balsa wood?
  10. It doesnt specify on there(that I can see of), but what is the length that roll comes in?
  11. Love the job on the Lonestar btw. What colours did you pick there? The blue almost looks like a "cobalt blue met" or something, none the less it is a very sharp looking truck. As for the small wing on the top, I dont know is anyone is casting one in resin, but i do believe that the Italeri 378 peterbilt has the exact "whale tale" wing in it and from some of the builds I have been seeing it doesnt seem to be a popular piece to use in that kit. Also, completly agree with a nice chrome tanker behind that truck, it would really finish it off, and maybe with a shirter set of stacks on it, but just my opinion. Once again amazing build A+ on the worksmanship!
  12. Your very welcome for the link, I still couldnt believe the fabrication involved with these trucks.
  13. Oh for sure, we have definatly seen just as impressive kits built here, but it just seems to be the amount of scratch building that was done, like the Freightliner argosy for example, where the heck do you start with that especially with all of the curvature involved with it.
  14. Basically as the title said, how in the world did these guys make these trucks? they are absolutly amazing!! http://plastimodelkits.keuf.net/f52-camions
  15. Hmmm, maybe it is time to pick up an airbrush kit than, any suggestions on what kind to get for an entry level person, and well I do take frequent trips down to the U.S in the Buffalo/Amhearst area so if you happen to know of any places in that area? Also, what kind of paints can you use in the airbrush kits? I work at a GM dealership and there are new touch-up paint bottles(brush applied ones) that are being thrown out on a regular basis (aged stock, but still good) would something like that work?
  16. Has anyone had any issuse with the Krylon paint being too thick? That is the only reason why I havnt bought any previously. But if alot of you guys are saying they work well than maybe its time I give them a shot.
  17. Well I have learned alot just by the posts seeing above. I didnt know about the hot water trick with the rattle cans, that would probobly account for some of the botched paint jobs in my collection (haha). Judging by the looks of it "Duplicolor" seems to be a popular brand to be using, and well my local Canadian Tire has a huge line up of all the differant colors (not a huge fan of the price though) but definatly quite the selection. Also a response for you Mark, the temps I usually paint in are low humitity levels, when the humidity is up I dont feel like doing anything anyway haha. Tim, you had mentioned that you wetsand the clear, what grit are you usually starting with? Do you wetsand in stages? or just a general 2000grit for example? Thx again for all the greatl replys everyone!
  18. Ok, so this is a bit of a difficult question to ask but, I am having difficulty acheiving optimal results when paint any or my models, I am traditionally using spray cans (mostly testors) just due to the fact that I am concerned about getting an airbursh dur to the fact that it looks too intimidating (if that makes any sense) None the less my models are coming out "good" but not "great" I am wondering if memebers on here could maybe help assist in differant methods/ techniques on what they are using to paint, which paint they are using and any sort of finalizing (wet sanding? polishing?) Thank you in advance James
  19. Bravo! Moebius, its nice to have a company out there that actually listens to what there customers want.
  20. Nice ride! A nice spread axle flatbed would look sweet behind that.
  21. Perfect! Thank you all for your input, time to add yet another name and e mail to my list. I think that is the best part about this site, is no matter what somebody knows somebody who knows somebody who does one thing or another! lol
  22. Not that I am criticizing anyone's work, but how is the quality out of GW? Also, has anyone purchased off of him that has positive feedback?
  23. First off I doubt such a thing exists at this time , but I am wondering to all of the resin masters on here, has such a project crossed your mind? So far by the looks of it everything with the cab pretty much remains the same as a "VN" model with the exception of the bunk extenders. Even the bumper is a bit differant but I'm sure using a VN bumper may still work. I have been seeing these trucks almost everyday as I pass by the local Mack/Volvo dealership and I just think a resin hood to make a VT would be absolutly amazing.
  24. Sheeesh, I wish you lived a little closer, I use to work at a freightliner dealership and I have like 4 cans of the blue just sitting here collecting dust! I hav alot of the differant colors as well CAT yellow, Cummins signature red, cummins black (which is a very odd greyish black) and a few others.
