  1. Thank you Ben!
  2. Great start Luke! I am wondering if you are able to get a pic or two of the suspension, you had mentioned that you did some modification to the suspension and I was just wondering how you worked it thats all. I have the same kit that I was looking on taking a similar route on and the suspension is where I got stuck.
  3. I took a look on Eric's site and I didnt see anything at all? Is it something that he may just have and doesnt not have it posted on the website?
  4. Hey guys, looking to see if someone might be able to help me out with this one. I am looking for a set of abttery boxes for my Lonestar exactly like that ones here in the photo. The battery box that comes in the kit well just isn't what I was looking for. I am looking on taking this truck in a bit differant direction, and this will be the start of where I am going with it.
  5. The only time I'v ever seen one of those is in the movie "Cars" lol
  6. So would I be looking at using something along the lines like this?
  7. Dont forget to push the bumper in too! I actually saw one the other day, looks like he didnt see that yellow cement post after all! haha
  8. Hey everyone, I see alot of you guys using alot of filler/putty for alot of numerous projects and I am just wondering what products you are using? I picked up a tube of the tamyia stuff, I think that is more designed for finer scratches or something, I am looking for more of a "filler" for bunk expansions frame extensions etc. thanks James
  9. Ok so I did a forum search and havnt come up with too many solutions, basically what I am wondering is what are the differant methods that people are using to stretch frames? The only one I seem to be finding is buying a duplicate of the existing kit, cut a section out and ad it. Dont get me wrong it sounds like it works amazing but seems to be a bit of a budget breaker with the price of most of these kits. So what I am wondering, is there any other moethods out there that are being used that does not include purchasing a second kit? Thanks James
  10. I also managed to grab a handful of shots of the Maxforce 13, I was gonna post those pics up for the Lonestar/Prostar kits but I do believe they cam with the Maxforce 15 and I am not sure how much of a differance.
  11. Hey all, I was lucky enough to hit Truckworld here in toronto a few weeks ago and I did get a bunch of pics and well some of them are of a Series 60 Detroit engine and I thought they might make some nice referance pictures for detail.
  12. Those are some amazing lookin trucks, but I have to ask where in the world are they getting these models?!!?!?!?!? A 387 Peterbilt, Kenworth T2000, Freightliner coronado? I also saw a Freightliner FLD condo? Where in the world are these coming from cuz I want them all!! haha
  13. Hey there, I'm new into building cars (mostly do trucks) but came across this post and I am very impressed with the camaro buillds. I do have a few questions though, I see that Revell and AMT make the new camaro, which manufacturer is the one that makes the pace car, Im just mainly interested in the "heritage style" grill (like the one in your red convertable) but is also in the indy pace car as well.
  14. First off amazing job on this, I cant wait to get my hands on one of those! Speaking of that, is there an approx. date that it will be available on the shelves? Also one other thing, is this Prostar going to the have the same option as the Lonestar kit to have the "roof fairing" peice (sorry if that is not the correct terminology for it" removable?
  15. Hmmm, I never even thought about the W900, because this T600 seems to be a vintage to say the least (two stick shift, and no air ride) it might just be worth my time to pick up a snap W900 to use the chassis. Ah well maybe next time. And btw that is one nice lookin T600 slide you have there, is that real wood for the cabinets and drawers?
  16. Your exactly right Bob, the engine is currently paint CAT yellow, so I will end up having to update that and well when I go to put some detail in this engine I now know what 1:1 ref pics to look for. For now I am trying to do what I can to smooth out the body to at least minimize all the scratches and skuff etc. Like you see on the hood, but I should have some paint on it by the end of the week.
  17. Great job! Everyone is soo happy with the fine detail of everything but I am just happy to see air ride suspension on it!! Haha!
  18. This is a WIP that I have that I origionally built about 15 yrs ago when I was young and didnt know how to build, so I thought I would pull it out of the box that it was stored in and well attempt to do a re-build and well... these are the pics of the progress so far. Take into consideration that the truck started off red, then was painted over with it looks like 3 coats of some sort of blue paint I dont even remember using but is a pain to get off! The cap is the color that i am planning on painting the truck. I do have a question about this kit though, what engine did this kit come with? It looks like a cummins, but not sure what model?
  19. Well Im gonna try to make one myself and if that fails terribly than at least I have a few back up options here. Thanks again everyone for your input! P.S I will post pics of the WIP when it happens!
  20. I completly agree, I honestly would be worried to own an argosy or any other out of production cabover just fo rthe simple fact of the parts. Think about it as a driver, "sir, we had to order a shift lever cable(or rod) for your argosy, but the part is on backorder and due to low production of the trucks the parts are more difficult to come by, so the estimated time will be about 4-6 weeks before we could see that part"......Now how is that response for someone who makes there living off of having the wheels turn on that truck that is currently down because of a low production part...
  21. Another thing that comes into play is the fact that when someone thinks of "chrome" the first thing that comes to find is the typical 379, W900, and the Classic/Classic XL all tradional style trucks. Nobody turns around and goes into any shop and says "I want a chrome bumper with lots of lights on it for my Freightliner Cascadia or a T660. The aerostyle trucks seem to be going in the way of paint styling schemes to modify and not so much into the "chrome" aspect. So that is where I see the major differance in the vs. battle.
  22. Probobly lookin at the drop visor, does anyone have a pic of it to see what it looks like on the truck?
  23. Well it looks like I have to get out the creativity chair to sit in for a little bit cuz it looks like i'm makin one myself.... Any ideas on how and where to start?? Haha
  24. Does anyone make it is a resin cast?
  25. Looking to see if anyone knows where I could get a sunvisor for this truck, I was thinking on making one but the think that is going to be my last option.
