  1. There were a set of centerlines in the Monogram Street Hemi Cuda kit as i recall. joe.
  2. It reallly looks nice. What engine did they provide? joe.
  3. Are there any plans to release the W-30? joe.
  4. Perhaps Evergreen makes a half round you could use to finish the other half. Chances are it would require sanding to finish the radius. Joe.
  5. Could it be they wanted to know if it was a Revell AG kit or USA kit? Joe.
  6. THAT is outstanding news. joe.
  7. If it fits a 1/24 diecast NASCAR car it should also accomadate a 1/12 bike. joe.
  8. Steve, all good points but most of all those expenses (with the exception of the package related ones, good point!) you just mentioned are applicable to al the products in his inventory. Each of the frets would only carry a fraction., joe.
  9. Incredible build of a beautiful car. You should be really pleased. joe.
  10. That is an outstanding build. Congratulations. Regards, joe.
  11. It compares very closely to my Pro Modeler. Great detail. My earlier comments about it not being on par with my other favorite Revell kits was premature. I will withhold any more comment until i see the kit and compare it to the 58/59 Pro Modeler which i consider a very good Revell kit. joe.
  12. Z in my profession I don't do much with numbers but I do recognize when someone does not complete their point. The $1200 - $1500 for a first run, and artwork of $200 for a total of $1700 is not much considering MCG charges between $9.99 and $14.99 per fret. Assuming that first run is 200 frets that means that a sale of 200 frets at $13.99 is $2798 yields a very cool profit. Tell me there are not 200 of us willing to buy a photoetch set for the '70 Mustang, 427 S/C Cobra or the .....After the initial artwork cost is paid the cost goes down and profit goes up. I apologize to MCG for using their name in this discussion as it applies to any aftermarket producer. You are the one we are most familiar with. joe.
  13. So much for constant improvement!!!! It is certainly no '67 GTO, '72 Hurst/Olds, '69 Charger to name a few of their best. I checked the chrome sprue on my '58 Pro Modeler Corvette and the '62 appears to be a bit better in terms of attacment points. I think overall the ejector pin marks are worse. Joe.
  14. I came from building planes where aftermarket was 100% of the cost of the kit. I could not even bring myself to build OOB. I returned to building cars purely because of burnout. I was greeted and treated to the fact that MCG made p/e for my builds. I was a happy camper and i promptly built a '69 Camaro RS and a '72 Dr Hemi Cuda both with fantastic MCG photoetch. I have many other kits that have a corresponding fret of p/e from MCG. My advice to MCG is to invest in new p/e frets. THey cannot sell them if they do not make them. joe.
  15. Thanks and i really hope it fits. i just ordered it from MCG along with the set for the '68 - '72 Corvette and some seat belt material. joe.
  16. Is this the one in bright orange plastic? joe.
  17. I am so with you on this request. I would love to see Coopers, Chaparrals, Scarab, there are many that would be fun to do. joe.
  18. Don't worry. I have seen this before.. It is the modeling goddess just messin' with you. There is nothing you can do about this. You can only hope she will get bored and move on to some other poor modeler. BTW, she is a twin sister to the golf goddess who will gladly give you a great tee shot followed by a fantastic fairway shot immediately followed by a soul snatching slice into a pond on an adjacent hole. You probably completed a couple of models you are really happy with and you thought you would have another....silly boy I am only glad she is visiting you she used to live in my workshop.
  19. Thanks guys, I need to find a year for you but it was a late 50 or '60's model. I don't know if the long bed was stock or custom. I am going to have to chase him down and get the details. joe.
  20. Very much agree with you. I would love a big block '68 Chevelle with the same level of detail as the Revell '72 Hurst/Olds. I just got that kit and it is great. joe.
  21. On a fairly regular basis i run across this guy driving a beautiful burgundy Chevy pickup with a long bed. It is lowered has exhaust pipe extensions and sounds very modified. I would love to build something similar but i have no idea where to start. joe.
  22. I have to join the others in commending you on the excellent interior. What kind of paint did you use? thanks again for sharing this build. joe.
  23. Thanks I did not know this. I have the 1/24 T/A. Regards, joe.
  24. Are you sure? I thought the Challenger is a 1/24th???
